“A wonderful place to stay with young children.”

Reviewed 10 Jul 2016

Our children had a great week thanks largely to the swings, slide and summer house full of scooters, toy kitchen etc on the doorstep! We also enjoyed feeding the rabbits and goats and could have made friends with the horses and dogs if we liked dogs and horses... the owners kindly checked as soon as we arrived and finding that one of our children is scared of dogs, kept them on a lead all week. The cottage was pleasant and spacious. It was a good break.

“Off the cuff holiday this year, 1st choice next year”

Really nice family run holidays cottages, owners very helpful, from charging my mobility scooter to saving me over £100 pounds on the ferry and everything in between. We stayed in peacocks rest, a 1 bed cottage, with every thing you need, nice and bright and well laid out. Kids play area is a great asset, and the whole farm is very safe at all times. Really nice to sit on the patio in the evening and hear the birds singing, no traffic noise, no sirens, just peace and quiet. The farm is situated in Foxdale and is ideal to visit all parts of the island but you do need to have a car. No bad points at all for me, indeed we would have stayed another week had a cottage been available.

“A great location for a family holiday”

We've stayed in two of the five lovely cottages at Kionslieu farm (Haybarn and Turkeytree in my case but they are all very similar) and we've been for a week in July every year for the last eight years. All the cottages are very clean, comfortable and well appointed and there's plenty of room for kids to play outside as well as friendly farm animals for them to meet. The owners are excellent hosts and are always very helpful. We've just booked again for 2013, our ninth successive year. What more can I say?
