“A luxury home away from home”

Reviewed 31 Jan 2016

My family and I stayed at the Old Watermill for two weeks over the Christmas and New Year period. The house is beautiful and equipped with everything one can possibly need to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. From the time of booking to the end of our stay, the owners Bill and Carole provided excellent communication and hospitality. The house manager, Caroline, does an excellent job in keeping the mill spotlessly clean and in tip top condition. We fell in love with the charming and picturesque town of Fowey, which is home to a variety of pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops whilst retaining that traditional Cornish village feel. The location was ideal for the many day trips we undertook to explore Cornwall. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at the Old Watermill and would not hesitate to return.

“A stunning home from home!”

Our week in the converted Watermill surpassed our dreams! Bill and Carole have thought of everything - from the lovely welcome basket to soft, fluffy towels and comfy beds. The large, family sitting room is an amazing place to relax after a day walking the beautiful Saints Way. The house and cottage have been renovated to an extremely high standard and have a really warm and inviting atmosphere. We would highly recommend this property and have already contacted Bill to discuss another stay!

“Amazing luxury accomodation”

Five adults and a dog celebrated my wife's birthday in this beautiful property. Everything was perfect, the welcome hamper, the immaculate decor, the sizes of the rooms, the furnishings, all wonderful. Very well stocked kitchen, lovely garden and duck pond. Everything needed for a holiday home was provided perfectly. Half hour walk down the lane to Fowey. Would definitely recommend the Old Watermill.

“Fab fab fab!!”

Wow! We are back from the most amazing stay at the most wonderful self catered house (or watermill) I have ever had the pleasure of staying at! From the immaculate presentation, fluffy towels, fabulous communication with the owners (even arranging for the wonderful house manager to Nip in to ensure we have the coffee machine- Caroline is fab) it was just superb! The welcome hampers is just first class, scones, jam, clotted cream, bread and fresh oj and milk- they have thought of everything! Our dogs loved their hamper too (yes how special)... A huge thank you to Bill and Carol for everything it has been a pleasure dealing with you and enjoying your most stunning place thank you xx

“Beautiful house in a beautiful part of the UK.”

We had the pleasure of staying at the Old Watermill recently and had the most wonderful stay. Bill and Carole have transformed the main house and the cottage into the most relaxing and luxury holiday home a medium to large group (10) could desire. All rooms from kitchen to bedroom are spacious and modern decor. The little touches such the food basket with local produce and the books and games in the study/TV room make your visit extra special. The location is perfect too on the outskirts of picture postcode town of Fowey. Whether you want beach, countryside or simply like to relax in peaceful beautiful place you simple must stay at the Old Watermill.
