The cottage has lovely views over the loch and as it is adjacent to the road south, it is a short 10 minute drive (or a longer walk along the pavement) to Fort William and gives easy access to all that this magnificent area has to offer.

As with our other properties, West Lodge has been renovated to the highest quality offering you real luxury five star accommodation, facilities and design - a truly special place to stay.

The cosy lounge has custom made Harris Tweed seating, quality furniture, a log fire and television. Free Wifi is available.

The large bedroom on the ground floor with panelled walls and oak and tweed bedhead is a cosy romantic room.

The upstairs bedroom has a French, light feel with open white rafters and Colonial style bed.

The bathrooms are sumptuous: One with egg shaped free standing bath and the other with a slipper bath. Both bathrooms also have a large walk in shower.

Of course we use the highest quality linens and fabrics.

Although West Lodge has two bedrooms and two bathrooms it is also ideal for just two guests. Let us know when you enquire if there are only two guests so that we can provide the correct price for you.

You are able to book online on this site but we do prefer to receive an enquiry from you through the Contact Owner section when we can offer you possible alternative dates and pricing. We are sometimes able to offer short breaks from November to March.

Location description from owner

The Lochaber region

Fort William and Lochaber is a place where you can enjoy superb scenery all year round. We have Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain, Munros for walking and climbing, rivers and lochs for fishing or sailing, fresh clean air and many outdoor sports.

After a full day there are great restaurants to enjoy: The Smiddy, Inverlochy Castle, The Lime Tree, The Crannog and The Seafood Cafe, to mention a few.

Fort William

It is no wonder that Fort William & Lochaber is known as The Outdoor Capital of the UK.

Not only can you take part in a huge variety of outdoor activities, on land, in the air and on the water, but you can do it in some of the most dramatic Scottish locations imaginable often used in major movies.

There are many day trips possible from Fort William, here are some suggestions:

The'Harry Potter' steam train - The Isle of Mull
The Isle of Skye - Glencoe - Oban
Inverness and Loch Ness - Ardnamurchan
The Road to the Isles.

“Outstanding Property with Beautiful Views”

Reviewed 31 Oct 2016

Just back from five days at this luxurious property. The house was absolutely lovely and everything is beautifully designed and to the highest specification. I loved the individual touches in keeping with the original character of the house. The bathrooms were gorgeous and sheer luxury to have a long soak in the bath. The views were lovely and the town is only minutes away. We have holidayed in Fort William numerous times but this is our first time at West Lodge but it certainly won't be our last. I would recommend it unreservedly. This deserves it's five star rating.

We stayed at west lodge for 3 nights earlier this month and it was perfect. Everything you could need was provided. Can't wait to return.
