“Fantastic Accommodation”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2017

No 3 The Old Convent was an excellent base for our holiday, Felicity and Chris made us very welcome, everything we needed was there. The area was excellent for walking, biking or just relaxing, the local people were really friendly. Thanks Felicity and Chris for helping to make this a really good holiday

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review. We are so glad you had such a good time exploring the surrounding area. Felicity & Chris

“A perfect 'home' in the Highlands”

Reviewed 24 May 2017

I've stayed at No 3 The Old Convent a couple of times before so just feel absolutely confident booking it again and again. Felicity and Chris have worked so hard to create such lovely accommodation and are always on hand if you need anything. The property has everything you need, is warm and cosy and has some wonderful views. It really is in a perfect position for exploring the Highlands - and is the perfect place to come back to at the end of the day. Thank you Felicity and Chris!

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review. We are so glad you like staying here, you really make the most of our location, we love hearing all about your wonderful adventures. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you again. Felicity & Chris

“Large apt”

Reviewed 2 Apr 2016

Felicity and Chris are a Lovely couple. Everywhere you look you see the hard work and dedication they've put into renovating this place , that has so much history. It is wonderful how they modernized it but have not taken away the old charm . Original stone walls that had been covered up are exposed now along with fireplaces, hardwood floors .Beautiful artwork. I could go on and on! They were very helpful with any questions. This is a large 1 bedroom apartment .Large kitchen bathroom and bedroom. Very clean. Bathtub is wonderful! Large selection of books and DVD s. The walk to town is short and peacful. Small charming town that has a good variety of shops and restaurants the station is like a fair size grocery store, atm machine , nice gift shop and post office. Bus stop and information center. Be sure to take a boat ride on Loch Ness. I would go back here. Thanks Felicity and Chris.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much, we loved having you to stay and enjoyed our chats very much. Felicity & Chris

“excellente location”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2014

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely comments. We really enjoyed meeting you all and especially our interesting fun evening! Felicity & Chris.

“Spacious and charming”

Reviewed 15 Jun 2014

The Old Convent is a beautiful old building and our apartment was spacious, spotless and very well equipped. It's a short walk into Fort Augustus and its well located to visit the Loch Ness area, Skye, Fort William etc. Our special thanks to Chris and Felicity who were wonderful and helpful hosts and we wish them all the best for their amazing job renovating the building.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your lovely comments, it was a pleasure meeting you. We enjoyed our chats and stories. Felicity & Chris

“A pearl in a wonderfully beautiful, scenic part of the highlands of Scotland”

Reviewed 15 Jun 2014

It was worth the hours spent searching for the right accommodation to suit our needs on our first holiday in Scotland. The comments made by previous visitors to No 3 indicated we had made a good choice. On arrival we were greeted by Felicity and Chris, who showed us to our home for the next two weeks. What a truly comfortable, cosy, tidy and very clean place it was. It included all the equipment one would wish for, and the views from the windows delightful. Our hosts were very hospitable and advised us on the places of interest to visit and the very best scenic tours to take, to witness the best of this beautiful part of Scotland. To be made aware of the musical talents of our hosts, and to attend one of their 'gigs' at a local hotel was a real joy. Our final joy was to meet Harvey, a newly acquired pet dog. What a lovely animal and obviously well loved by his new owners. Thank you Chris and Felicity for letting us into your home.

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for you lovely comments. We are so glad you enjoyed your holiday here with us. Felicity, Chris & Harvey!

“Very Comfortable Convent”

Reviewed 7 May 2014

We stayed 4 nights at the Old Convent. Felicity & Chris have really made a fantastic place to stay. Perfectly clean, very spacious rooms, extremely comfortable, and every possible kitchen utensil you could ever need. A truly wonderful place, quiet, close to town, but away from the day-trippers on buses, lots a beautiful drives nearby, walks from the door. Very well stocked grocery shop in town and a butcher with excellent quality meat. Next time we'll stay longer.

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for your lovely comments, we are so glad your enjoyed your stay with us. Felicity & Chris.

“Beautiful flat!”

Reviewed 25 Apr 2014

My husband and I recently stayed for 4 nights. The flat is so charming and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay. It has beautiful views of the mountains and has everything you need. They even had milk in the fridge and cookies for us. There was tea and coffee in the pantry which was great because we didn't feel like going to the store the day we arrived so that allowed us to get through until next morning. Thanks to the owners for allowing us to stay in their flat. It really is beautifully restored.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely comments, we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Felicity & Chris.

“Lovely, lovely, lovely!!!!”

Reviewed 1 Feb 2014

This place was fabulous! The building is being lovingly restored and it was so refreshing to see that such a nice job was done to this flat. The unit was spotless, (and I mean spotless-I am a clean freak!) and completely updated. The bathroom had an amazing tub and the bedroom was wonderfully romantic! Everything you need for cooking is in the kitchen and looked to be new. Large windows were in every room making it cheerful even during the cloudy weather. In the chilly winter climate, it was cozy and toasty warm. After all of the self catering cottages I have rented, this place was my favorite. The town is only a 5-8 minute walk down a sidewalk and is very charming. There are hiking trails everywhere and on both sides of the loch. I would recommend this to anyone because it is so clean, cheerful, and has all of the modern comforts of a new build. The owners are terrifically friendly and knowledgable as well. My only complaint is that I didn't find it sooner and spend more time there. As a final note, people often "remodel" with no effort to maintain the integrity of the building but this was a restoration....you can see that the owners, Felicity and Chris, love this building. It is always nice to stay in a "home" that is loved.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely comments. It is so rewarding for us that our guests appreciate all the time/work and love that we have put into this lovely old building. It was lovely to meet you and we really enjoyed our chats. Felicity & Chris.
