The Loch Ness region

Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland is a land of mountains, glens and beautiful lakes, one of Europe's last wilderness areas. It is a place where nature still thrives, where eagles and wildcats still roam freely. It has a rich and vibrant culture and a heritage still very much in evidence to this day. The Highlands is a beautiful place most welcoming to visitors who drive, ride or fly into Inverness, the Highland capital. People come from all parts the world to visit ancient castles, visit whisky distilleries, taste the fabulous cuisine and learn about the turbulent history of the Scottish clans in places like the Culloden battlefield Centre. Most of all though, people visit the Highlands for the dramatic scenery and to experience the natural beauty that is unrivalled anywhere in Europe and which is unique to Scotland. Of course you may want to indulge in a little of what we are famous for at Loch Ness, Nessie spotting. Our apartment is situated in a location where The Loch Ness monster has been seen!

Fort Augustus

Loch Ness at Fort Augustus, known locally as the 'Gateway to Loch Ness' as it is situated at the southern end of the lake and is an ideal location for touring both sides of the loch. Nearby you can walk to Fort Augustus golf course for a round of golf, choose to cruise on Loch Ness or the Caledonian Canal, visit the ruins and exhibition at the famous and historic Urquhart Castle or investigate the Culloden battlefield where Bonnie Prince Charlie was defeated at the last battle to be fought there. There are many walks and cycle ways in the area suit all levels of fitness from challenging hill walks to gentle canal tow-path walks.
The Highland Club is just a couple of minutes walk from Fort Augustus village where you will find a small selection of restaurants pubs shops and things to do, or stay within the 20 acres of private landscaped grounds of the Highland Club and enjoy eating in the onsite "Boathouse restaurant" overlooking Loch Ness.

“Home from Home”

Reviewed 4 Sep 2016

This is a wonderful apartment which has everything you need. It is clean and the beds are comfortable. The setting is magnificent and it is so peaceful. We used the swimming pool, whilst it is small ,it is nice to just go and relax in the sauna or steam room and we also used the games rooms which was fun. All in all if you are staying in the local area then you should not overlook this place as it really is home from home.

Thank you Shev we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay in our "home from home" apartment and would love to see you again sometime in the future, will be pleased to offer you a loyalty discount next time!

“Reasonably priced, quality accommodation in a great location.”

Spent 5 days during October. Perfect apartment for a family with children. My children especially loved the indoor swimming pool and the adventure playground. We enjoyed meals at the restaurant on site overlooking Loch Ness which is stunning on a clear day. The apartment is well furnished to a high standard and fully equipped with lovely views of the lawn/giant chess board. This a great base to explore the Highlands from or to just relax and enjoy the local area and the amenities on site. We loved it so much we are returning again next October.
