Description

The Barn is a beautifully recently restored one bedroom cottage in the North of the New Forest. It features a mezzanine bedroom and ensuite bathroom accessed by a stunning spiral staircase. There are large feature windows and beautiful old beams, a fully fitted kitchen with everything you need to cook a roast dinner. On chilly evenings you can relax in front of a wood burning fire, whilst the private patio is a real sun trap!

Getting around

You are most likely driving to the accommodation, although a taxi from Salisbury, Brockenhurst or Southampton stations is an option. A popular option is to cycle from the property, so feel free to bring your bikes. “Cosy forest retreat”

We arrived after dark on a Friday evening finding the barn easily with the directions given. Had a lovely welcome from Mark and Astrid who showed us to the barn. Gorgeously furnished with wonderfully cosy underfloor heating. There is everything you need including a comfortable bed, we slept well only to be woken early by our early rising dog who decided a walk over the road in the forest was required. Beautiful part of the New forest, Very enjoyable stay, we would definitely like to come back one day.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
