The Hampshire region
There is something for everyone in The New Forest, whether you're looking to relax, explore or just enjoy. It is a mosaic of ancient and ornamental woodland, open heather-covered heaths, rivers and valley mires, a coastline of mudflats and saltmarshes, and pretty, historic villages. Lowland heath once covered much of southern England but the New Forest National Park is now the largest area that remains.
This is a great place to relax and enjoy the fresh air and countryside. Lovely country walks locally, in the Avon valley of Godshill and Woodgreen area of the New Forest. If you want to know about the area we can offer a few tips and recommendations and point you in the right direction for walks or pubs. We know the area well and can recommend any number of activities. However, if you just want to take it easy then you are in the right place.
By the time you arrive at Walnut Cottage B&B you will already have absorbed some of the flavour of the New Forest – the ponies, the donkeys, the deer if you are lucky. For walkers and bird watchers this location is heaven but remember to bring walking boots or wellies!

"Fantastic cottage in picturesque village"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at walnut cottage! The room was beautifully decorated with great facilities - the breakfast was lovely and we really liked being able to eat at our leisure. The location of walnut cottage is ideal for anyone wishing to explore the new forest and local villages. Thank you very much to Jane who warmly welcomed us and advised the best local pubs/restaurants, walks and attractions. Wish we could of stayed longer!

Enjoyed our three nights in the unusual nice room. Doors out to the garden. Room cleaned and food for breakfast and milk etc. replenished each day, there was plums, strawberries, cakes, bread and a toaster etc.
Thank you very much for your kind comments. So glad you enjoyed your stay with us and for taking the time to review.

"Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location"
Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a weekend of relaxing for her birthday away from the pace of London and we weren't disappointed. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the room is amazing with a fridge, nice ensuite bathroom and WiFi. We really loved the outside area which was perfect for relaxing in the evening, also it's only a 5 minute walk to the local pub! The surroundings were also amazing!
Thanks very much for your very kind review. It is very much appreciated. We are so glad you both enjoyed your break. We look forward to welcoming you to our B&B if you decide to stay with us in the beautiful New Forest again.
