“Warm & Cosy”

Reviewed 29 Dec 2015

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at little terraces over Christmas. It was clean and comfortable, warm and cosy. Every little detail had been considered and added to the cottage without making it feel cluttered. Sue was absolutely fabulous and made me feel nothing was too much trouble and she left lots of little christmassy touches to the cottage which made it feel very festive from napkins to wine chocolates and mince pies. The terraces outside gave us a lovely view however it was a little chilly so we were unable to enjoy it. We had our own little parking space outside and the area was very peaceful. Thank you Sue for making our stay so pleasant

Thank you. I'm delighted you had a great Christmas at Little Terraces. Perhaps you can come in the summer to enjoy the terraces in warmer weather. Have a very happy 2016. Sue

“Heaven in a holiday cottage”

Reviewed 13 Nov 2015

My husband and I stayed at Little Terraces for the first week of our honeymoon. From the outset, Sue and Simon could not have been more helpful or accommodating. The cottage itself is stunning...beautifully located and done up. The kitchen is particularly great and undoubtedly the best kitted out of any holiday rental I've stayed in. Downton is a wonderful village and perfectly located for nearby walks and excursions into the New Forest. Sue and Simon have put together a brilliant folder full of maps and walks to keep you busy. Have to mention - they went above and beyond, leaving us bubbly in the fridge and putting up 'just married' bunting and leaving us a card! Particular to our situation I know, but we were so touched by their kindness, and this shows through in their beautiful cottage and all the touches they have made to make it comfortable and to help you have a wonderful stay.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We consider ourselves privileged to have welcomed you for your honeymoon are delighted that you had such a good time. We wish you every happiness in the future. Sue

“Well equipped cottage perfect for two”

Reviewed 8 Oct 2015

We spent a very agreeable 3 nights at Little Terraces. The cottage had everything we needed including free unlimited WiFi! The pubs and shops of Downton are a short walk away which was very convenient. The cottage is well equipped with quality furnishings. The log burner was very useful on a nippy October evening. We used the upper terrace for a drink one evening however this would be a more beneficial feature in Summer months when the BBQ can be utilised. The cottage was clean on arrival and the communication from the owner prior to arrival and whilst we were there was excellent. The house notes are full of hints and tips as well as clear instructions for getting the most out of the cottage. We enjoyed out stay and will be recommending the cottage to others.

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and everything Little Terraces has to offer. Please do come again in the summer and enjoy dinner on the terrace. Sue

“cosy cottage in great location”

Reviewed 1 Oct 2015

The cottage is very comfortable and well thought out. Lots of homely personal touches such as flowers and chocolates in the living room, wine and milk in the fridge. Gorgeous back garden with a beautiful terrace - don't forget to bring the corkscrew up with you it's a trek back down! Good location for exploring the New Forest and coast. Great food to be had at the Wooden Spoon about a ten minute walk away.

Thanks so much for your kind words. We are glad you had a great time and got to enjoy the views. We hope to see you again one day. Sue

“Wonderful little Cottage in a beautiful part of the country”

Reviewed 25 Aug 2015

This is a lovely cottage, that is well furnished and equipped. The highlight of this cottage is the outdoor space with breath taking views out of the local environment from the top decking. It's located in a picturesque village where you are made to feel welcome by the locals, particularly at the 'Wooden Spoon' (the nearest pub). The cottage is located on the cusp of the New Forest which is great if you enjoying walking.

Many thanks for your kind words. I am delighted that you enjoyed our amazing views. The harvest is now in and deer can be spotted in the field. We hope to see you again one day. Sue

“Perfect cottage”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2015

The owners were very helpful. We found the cottage perfect for a couple, it's very well equipped. Although the weather wasn't perfect we did manage to have a barbecue on the top terrace and even watched the sun go down. The location was great, shops and pubs within walking distance and lots to do and see in the local area. Would highly recommend 'the Little Terraces.'

Sadly the only thing we cannot guarantee is the weather! We are pleased that with everything Little Terraces and the surrounding area offers the great British summer did not spoil your holiday. Sue

“The perfect place to stay.”

Reviewed 25 Jul 2015

Delightful property in a lovely village with good pub, cafe and bakery. Access to local riverside walk and short car distance to the forest. Salisbury is an interesting city with lots to see and do. We would recommend the 'park and ride' at Britford which made getting in to Salisbury so easy. Felt that being so near to Stonehenge we must make the visit. It was certainly worthwhile. All in all a great holiday and a peaceful, well equipped cottage to return to each evening.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are delighted you found your perfect holiday cottage. Come and see us again soon. Sue
