Description

The Old School Lodge is tucked away in the village of Newington, private, secluded and blissfully peaceful. Yet just a breath away are countless destinations to visit.
Entrance to the property itself is via French doors which lead into a living / sleeping area furnished tastefully with double bed, small sofa, double wardrobe and ample storage space provided by various other units, chest of drawers, shelving etc.
Attached and yet very much set independently is a fully equipped kitchen area with all desirable facilities including washer/ dryer.
The Lodge also has a walk in shower room - towels provided.
Parking for two vehicles is available which is private and off road.
At the lodge we are also very happy to go that one step further and provide themed extras for a special occasion such as a romantic getaway, birthday, anniversary, engagement etc. Just have have a chat with us and we can provide such extras as balloons, cakes, flowers, chocolates, champagne etc, all ready for your arrival!

House rules

We are very dog friendly and provide a dog welcome bowl. We do not charge extra for pets to stay but do therefore really appreciate that owners clear up after their pets.
No loud music please as we are in a quiet little retreat.
Please do not invite futher guests to the Lodge, we offer accomodation/facility to a max of two guests.
We offer parking for one vehicle. please contact us if further space is needed. Please do not drive across the lawn.

“Great place to stay”

We have stopped here numerous times and we will definitely stay again Everything that you require is here and I would highly recommend staying here We will definitely stay again next year, on our way to France and the return journey, as it is 10 minutes, at the most, from the Eurotunnel

Had a great long weekend at School Lodge. Although compact was fine for us and our two medium dogs. Welcomed by Jamie on arrival and surprised at the extent of supplies left for occupants including dogs. Very peaceful area and very comfortable lodging.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send JAMIE (the owner) a message.

If JAMIE (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
