Set amongst pretty pastel-painted houses and quaint Cornish streets, this four-bedroom property oozes character and charm on all three floors.

Slip Cottage is a one-off property located in the pretty Cornish fishing village of Flushing. Surrounded by nothing but quaint, pastel-painted houses, quiet streets, and a working harbour, this property resides in a location ideal for guests wanting an authentic Cornish experience.

This cottage oozes character before guests have even stepped indoors. The large sash windows and painted exterior are a quintessential feature of these properties. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a spacious hallway with a staircase leading to the main living area on the lower ground floor. The large, bright, open-plan space is a wonderful heart of the home and has a cosy feel.

The living area comprises of two comfortable sofas and two armchairs and therefore has plenty of space for everyone to gather together. With a round coffee table in the centre, guests could make the most of their time together and play a game of cards in the evening. A TV is provided should a quieter evening call for a cosy night spent snuggling on the sofa.

Guests should have no trouble feeling right at home here as the clean white walls, warm wood flooring and subtle hints of blue create a fun and welcoming nautical theme. Modern artwork and nautical prints have been elegantly placed to add character and charm. There is also a selection of books and games so guests could enjoy a moment of escapism and settle down in an armchair. Double doors onto the garden are a stunning feature of the room and enable guests to enjoy some fresh morning air with their cup of coffee.

Towards the rear of the room is the kitchen. Featuring an induction hob and electric oven set in a large chimney breast with massive granite overmantel, this area of the property is very stylish with modern grey and white cabinets and quartz worktops. Guests will find everything they need within this kitchen to enjoy their break including an additional combi oven/microwave, warming drawer, fridge freezer and dishwasher, so no one needs to be spending time cleaning up! With a variety of fresh local produce available from the harbour and village shop, guests can enjoy spending some time together cooking delicious meals for everyone or preparing a continental breakfast.

The dining area is an ideal place for everyone to gather around and enjoy a delicious meal, making plans for the holiday, and making new memories together. A solid wood table and six chairs provide ample space for all guests to enjoy an evening in, relaxing with a few glasses of wine.

Should the Cornish summer sun be all too tempting, then guests always have the option to dine alfresco in the private garden where there is a metal dining table and chairs. This wonderful space is packed full of luscious green planting, flowers and herbs and a quaint paved path leads to an outdoor seating area with corner sofa, coffee table and a couple of stools. Following the pretty winding path to the rear of the garden, guests will find a handy utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, extra fridge/freezer, WC, and sink.

The master suite is located on the first floor of the property and features a super king-size bed that promises guests a restful night’s sleep. The room is cosy and inviting, and the large window provides views of the pretty pastel street beyond. Guests will find no trouble enjoying a relaxing lie-in and sipping a hot coffee as the warm white walls and deep wood furnishings create a cosy and tranquil atmosphere. The wardrobe and large chest of drawers enable guests to pack away any belongings and truly escape from the everyday.

Adjacent to the bedroom is the private shower room which features a large window that floods the space with natural light. There is a walk-in shower, WC and hand basin.

Stepping back down to the ground floor, guests will find doorways to the remaining three bedrooms and family bathroom. The second bedroom is positioned at the rear of the property and takes in the pretty views overlooking the garden. This bright room has twin beds and ample storage for belongings in the large chest of drawers.

Bedrooms three and four feature single beds and are ideal for any guests traveling with children or grandparents. Each bedroom comes complete with quality bedding that promises to provide a relaxing night’s sleep.

The family bathroom has a traditional bath fitted with a separate overhead shower. There is also a WC and hand basin.

Slip Cottage is dog friendly. Coastal paths are a wonderful way to spend some time together, and any four-legged friends along on the holiday will surely make the most of these.

There is a dedicated off-road parking space at the rear of the cottage. Guests are advised that the access to the space is via a narrow driveway that runs between neighbouring properties, and although we regularly negotiate this with our own large S
