Elegance and comfort are the distinctive features of this charming Florentine apartment.

A refined furnishing that ties together antique and modernity, framed by the dark tones of the wooden beams and the characteristic red Florentine tiles.

The apartment is situated on the first floor of a typical building of the Florence historic center.

From the entrance you enter the living room, furbish with a comfortable sofa - which, if necessary, can become a double bed, an armchair, a writing table, an antique dinning table, satellite TV, free WiFi Internet, DVD & MP3 player.

The apartment hosts a fairly wide library, including books of art history and tourist guides in English.

There are two bedrooms, a master bedroom and a two single-beds one; both rooms are furnished with antique nightstands and wardrobes. Also these rooms have wooden beams and Florentine terra cotta tiles.

There are two bathrooms too, one equipped with bathtub and shower, sink, bidet and toilet, the other one with shower, sink bidet and toilet.

Both bathrooms have marble floors and walls.

The kitchen, in addition to a complete set of utensils and dishware for six people, is equipped with a kitchenette with four cooking fires, a microwave, a fridge, a kettle, an espresso coffee machine, an American coffee machine, a toaster and a squeezer.

The apartment has an independent central heating. Air conditioning is available in the living room and in the master bedroom and a very functional ceiling fan is installed in the twin bedroom. There are furthermore an iron, an hair dryer, towels and sheets.

Via Faenza is a quite street, just a few paces away from “San Lorenzo Market”, renowned for its colors, fragrances and the typical liveliness of Mediterranean markets. There you may buy the most dainty and tasty local ingredients that you may conveniently cook and enjoy with a glass of good Chianti later at your Florentine home away from home.

If you do not feel like cooking a “ribollita” or a nice plate of “trippa”, be spoilt for choice and be served in one of the many restaurants in the neighborhood.

Situated in between the Fortezza da Basso and the Medici Chapel, in just a few minutes on foot you can reach the Duomo, the Baptistery with its incomparable Giotto's belfry.

You do not need to be concerned about traffic: Florence is the city with the widest pedestrian area in Europe and after just a few minutes walking - and not even realizing it, enjoying the windows of the best boutiques!-, you will find yourself at Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi, Palazzo Pitti and all the other Florentine's monuments and masterpieces.

In less than ten minutes you can reach Santa Maria Novella, the main railway station. From there you can leave for day-trips, by train or by bus, toward the Tuscan countryside or other cities of art.

Many garages are available just a few hundreds meters from the apartment, on the adjacent roads.

House Rules

-- Nobody will be at the apartment unless it is arranged in advance. Please update me about the specific time of your arrival. Specially closer to your arrival date please contact me and make arrangements before going to the apartment. That way I can organize to meet you at the apartment in a timely manner. Please do not ask neighbors or businesses for help or assistance in finding me. If the arranged meeting time is missed for any reason, I will be happy to rearrange. However, please note that it may take me about one hour before being able to get there again.

---You must bring first page (picture page) copy of each guest's passport. It is required by the Italian regulations for registering your stay and without the copies I cannot check you in.

--- Our standard check-in is 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm, and check-out is by 10:00 am. There is a fee of 30 euros for check-in later than 9:00 pm.

--- This is a self-catering apartment. The included cleaning covers general cleaning of the apartment and laundering linen/towels. You are required to dispose the trash (including kitchen and bathroom) in the trash container near the apartment. There are city garbage disposal containers in each neighborhood. The nearest disposal container is located in Piazza Madonna ( at the end of Via Faenza as you walk towards Duomo ). You are also required to wash the dishes you use.

- Please do not use towels for any purpose other than hand/body drying. Instead, please use disposable paper towels provided for other needs.

The Italian electric power consumption regulations place a limit on using electricity per each apartment at a given time. Therefore, using several electric appliances at the same time results in circuit to shut down. It is easy to avoid by not using too many high power appliances at the same time.

Thank you Joel for your review, it's true, the air conditioner in the living room is old and as we told you, next month it will be replaced with a new one, but it has still done its duty! The shower in one of the two bathrooms is standard size for Italy, while the one in the second bathroom and beyond the standards. Despite your notes, I thank you for giving us 4 stars, it means that maybe the apartment has a certain value . How do damage deposits work?

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Franco (the owner) a message.

If Franco (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
