The Tuscany region

From Lonely Planet: Blessed with beauty, wine and an unparalleled artistic legacy, Tuscany s a region that largely lives up to its press. Its fabled rolling landscape has long been considered the embodiment of rural chic, a favourite of holidaying PMs and retired advertising executives, while its cities harbour a significant slice of the world. Renaissance art. .Florence, in itself, boasts more world-class art than many countries. Some people never venture beyond the region crowded capital, but with some of Italy.;s most striking Gothic architecture (Siena), the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the walls of Lucca all an easy trip away, to do so would be a waste. Stupendous art, soul-aching countryside, stirring wine and lip-smacking cuisine is what this enviable region, from where the Renaissance rippled out across Europe, is all about. From the Etruscan marvels at Fiesole to the della Francesca of Arezzo, from the towers of San Gimignano to markets of Pistoia, there are delights for even the most jaded Grand Tourers. Tuscany in English, Toscana in Italian, it specialises in being the best.<

"Cosy apartment in Florence"

My husband and I spent a week at Via delle Ruote, and couldn't have chosen a better location for our stay in Firenze. The apartment is situated within walking-distance from the city senter, all the sights, and also the main train station, should you be arriving by rail. The neigbourhood had several bars and restaurants to choose from. For groceries, Mercato Centrale (the main market) is 10 mins walk away. The apartment is tastefully decorated, clean and airy upon arival with quality towels and linen. Keys are handed over by Massimo, who also assured us he was available if we needed assistance. For a stay in Firenze we can recomend this apartment!

Thank you for letting me know that you enjoyed my apartment and your holiday i Florence. I really appreciate you taking the time to write the review and am pleased you liked my apartment. Kind regards.

"AMAZING FLAT!!!!!!"

This flat has any and everything you need to make your Florence home away from home complete! So cozy, spacious and chic! Very clean and well maintained. Decor was simple and unassuming. So nice to live among the locals! Go next door to the little shop and grab a bag of cherries ;) Centrally located and easy access to food, entertainment, and bus tours. I will definitely stay here again and again! I recommend this flat for others to stay in! Thank You!!! Ciao!

Thank you so much for this kind review. It means a lot to me that people enjoy their stay and feel at home in the apartment.

"Good location, everything we needed, but a problem with the bathroom lock and we got locked out of bathroom for most of a day."

Lovely looking apartment but a few problems with the locks. They are old and need removing. The lounge room door was difficult to open at times and the bathroom door locked on us once when I shut it. We could not get to our wet washing and had to use a cafe toilet at the end of the street for the day. We could not have our morning showers and our belongings were stuck in there. The owner said this had happened before and that she had no key, and then later realised she had a key but that it was inside the bathroom. She made no apology and compensation for this except she did agree to pay for our toothbrushes that we had to buy. My husband was very upset. The apartment is lovely and worth the money as long as you don't have a problem such as this. I hope all of the locks were fixed once we left and the keys put in an accessible place.

I am sorry about the doorlocks, they are beings replaced as wee speak.

"Excellent location and beautiful apartment"

This was a great apartment. Beautifully decorated - the photos don't do it justice! We had everything we needed, oven, dish washer, air con, wifi, iPod docking station! The location is very good. On a quiet street near to the centre. Only 10 mins walk from the station and Duomo. I travelled with 3 friends. It was perfect for a group but would be just as good for a couple. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a great stay!

Thank you for the great review! I am very pleased you liked the apartment. It is important to me that my guests enjoy their stay in Florence and are satisfied with their accommodation.
