50 meters from Ponte Vecchio and very close to all the most charming spots, the fully equipped apartment is located in a XVI century palace, with a big terrace overlooking Palazzo Pitti. 4th floor (72 steps without lift, sorry). 2 bathroom (1 with shower, the other with bidet), 1 bedroom (queen bed), kitchen, dining room, living room with sofa bed. Very nice furniture.
All the main monuments (Palazzo Pitti, Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizzi Gallery, the Dome, ... and many others) are just few minutes from the apartment.
The area, known as Oltrarno, is very lively and full of good restaurants, bars and shops.
Florence and Pisa airports are easily connected by bus (Florence) and trains (Pisa) to Santa Maria Novella railway station, which is just 1,5 km from the apartment.
Best for couple, it is the perfect location for visiting Florence and relax in the beatiful terrace.
YOU DON'T NEED A CAR IN FLORENCE. In case you are travelling by car please note that all the historic centre of Florence has limited car circulation, that means that you are supposed to park your car in a garage (to be paid in the spot), In front of my house there is a big private garage (Garage Lungarno), but it has to be booked in advance. For any informations please visit their website: (www . garagelungarno . it ). Another address (a bit further, but connected with public transport): www . firenzeparcheggi . it

Borgo San Jacopo is a lovely narrow street that connects Ponte Vecchio to Ponte Santa Trinita, alongside the river Arno. The neighborood is known as Oltrarno. Here you can visit:
Palazzo Pitti, with the magnificent Boboli Gardens.
Forte Belvedere, designed and built by Michelangelo Buonarroti, where you can enjoy a splendid
view of Florence. If you walk a little bit further along the narrow street (Erta Canina), you'll arrive to Piazzale Michelangelo (another amazing panoramic place) and to San Miniato Church a real jewel of romanic style!
Santa Felicita Church
Santo Spirtio Church (a masterpiece of Filippo Brunelleschi!)
Carmine Church with the Brancacci Chapel painted by Masaccio.
Crossed the Ponte Vecchio, with its antique shops of goldsmiths, you reach the area of Di qua d'Arno. Here the choice of what to visiit is bigger. A few tips:
Palazzo Vecchio (do not forget to buy a ticket that includes the "camminamento", a panoramic
gallery over the top of the palace, around the crenellated walls)
Palazzo Strozzi (where there are always interesting exhibitions)
Santa Trinita Church with the beautiful Sassetti Chapel painted by Domenico Ghirlandaio
Ognissanti Church and the “cenacolo” painted by Domenico Ghirlandaio
Duomo (Santa Maria del Fiore) with the Dome made by Filppo Brunelleschi, the Battistero and
Giotto's Bell Tower
Palazzo Medici Riccardi with the Chapel painted by Benozzo Gozzoli
San Lorenzo Church and the astonishing Medici Chapels. All around the area there is a big market
(both open-air and covered), but remind that now is very touristic and the quality of goods is very
