Located just a few steps away from the beach, our studio is a fantastic offer for a beach holiday, whether you are travelling on your own, enjoy a romantic stay as a couple, a couple of friends or a small family (a baby bed is available upon request)! The studio is very large (55 square meters), with a large orthopaedic bed, a TV lounge, well equipped kitchen and breakfast area and a modern bathroom.
The studio also offers its own patio surrounded by a tropical garden. The patio is extremely enjoyable and allows you to spend a maximum amount of time outdoor, and it is shaded most of the day. As well, diners and long evenings sitting on the patio are also extremely enjoyable! Facing you is the swimming pool and a constant invitation to take a dip and refresh yourself! As the studio is on the ground floor and benefits from good shelter from the sun, the inside temperature regulates by itself (never too hot, never too cold), which makes the studio extremely enjoyable. You can of course also close the windows and turn on the air conditioning. A comfortable set of rattan seats also allows you to enjoy the flat screen TV with its twenty TNT channels.
Location-wise, the apartment is part of "Les Peupliers" residential complex, located in the heart of Flic-en-Flac, and just 50 metres from the beach. All amenities (supermarket, change office, taxis, pharmacy, restaurants...) are on your doorstep! The residence itself is a fantastic place to stay: it has a large bespoke swimming pool (17 x 5 x 1.4 metres) with sun loungers, tropical gardens, secured parking spaces, a watchman and 24/7 CCTV.
On a more practical side, the studios offers a large orthopaedic bed (200 x220cm) which can be converted into two single bed (on request ). The bathroom benefits from an overhead shower and a safe is provided. The kitchen is well equipped with the following: breakfasting table and stools, kettle, toaster, microwave oven , fridge/freezer, dual induction cooking plates, and all the essentials (and much more) required to cater for a diner party of 4 people on the patio. A washing machine is also provided as well as an airer, iron and ironing table. A weekly cleaning and change of linens and towels are also included in your stay.
The tropical gardens are regularly sprayed with tea tree and neem oils to deter as naturally as possible the eventual mosquito, which proves a relative success and allows you to enjoy the gardens, patio and outdoors of the residence in the evenings.guarantees a lovely holiday!

The Riviere Noire District
The West coast is known for its warm and relatively dry tropical climate, as well as its Unesco - listed beaches and sites.
Flic-en-Flac itself is a fantastic holiday base as it is very well suited to holiday makers needs and offers all you would expect from a seaside resort village: easy shopping, fantastic beach, local restaurants, nightlife and all the seaside activities one could dream of nearby.
Flic En Flac
There are a lot of activites in the area, depending on your needs:
- sunlounging, swimming and snorkelling from the beach
- enjoying the food trucks in the shade of the filaos (try dim-sums and noodles from “Chez Christine”, the little blue truck or simply a fiery Mauritian chicken kebab).
- Lookout for the local “rasta man” that sells freshly caught tropical river crayfish in the morning (he'll be taking position around 9 in the morning along the Pasadena front wall) and enjoy them with butter and garlic
- Take away a few dishes or face the adventurous service at Ah Youn or Comlone
- Enjoy a good table at domaine Anna amidst a wonderful setting.
- You can also contact JP Henry for an early morning swim with the dolphins, a catamaran day around ile au benitier or fishing in the high seas
- Visit the casela yemen adventure park for its bird collection, riding a quad bike or walking with lions
- View the chamarel seven coloured earth beauty spot and sample rhum at the distillery
- Take a bus trip to Port Louis to sample the seafront, central markets and busy street of the capital of Mauritius
- Take a day walk in black river gorges tropical forest , rivers and cascades(mosquito repellent, and plenty of water bottles are strongly advised)
- Take a guided walk of the 7 cascades waterfall from Henrietta bus station and swim in the ponds (the falls are 800 metres above Flic-en-Flac within the surrounding high cliffs you can view from the top of the hill). I can also recommend a good specialist if you want to abseil the cascades as well.
- The reefs at flic-en-flac are known as a beauty spot in terms of scuba diving: rock cathedrals, aquarias, etc…
- Tour the south west coast along the beaches of Tamarin, La preneuse (stop at Ousaporn in the village – ask for directions , Riviere Noire (lookout for the French patisserie), la gaulette and Le morne (beautiful beach with large restaurant / snack bar by the beach)
- And so much more that Mauritius has to offer!!
In terms of car rental, the best deals are in advance from easycar , which guarantees you a car in good working order at a good price. You can pick the car up from the airport or simply pick it up from the local big hotels front reception desk – look for this option at the time of booking.
There are of course local car and scooter rentals from the local seaside outlets. The best scooter deals are at the black and white chequered scooter rental agency by the Manissa hotel.

"A Great Apartment in a Great Location"
The Good Bits: Fantastic Location Opposite the Spar for your shopping - we found it had everything we needed Next to the ATM/cashpoint Very close to the beach Good nearby bars Mafiozzo & Kenzi Bar We particularly enjoyed Kenzi bar such a cool place to hang out. Good restaurants within a few minutes walk - Rib & Reef (Great Food), The Beach Shack (Great Food but a bit pricey), Tidez Cafe (Great for a lunch time drink or snack), Sunset Garden (Good food, music on the weekend), Bois Noir (Good food and Inexpensive), Twins Garden (Good food and entertainment on the weekend). Close to Sea Urchin Dive Centre - Fabulous diving, lovely people http://www.sea-urchin-diving.com/html/start_en.html Close to Tropic Dream tours swimming with dolphins is a must and this company were great http://www.tropic-dream.com/tours.htm Flic En Flac Taxis located outside Spar will take you on a tour if you wish. Close to the bus stops, 34Rs per person to Port Louis, much cheaper than a taxi. Lovely pool if a bit cold Very well furnished apartment, all the fixtures and fittings were of a high standard and it had everything we needed. Coming soon: An additional hot plate although one was enough for us (Prawns, garlic, chilli paste and wine fried up with some fresh bread lovely. A Washer dryer. The Not So Good Bits: The sheets, as a few other reviews suggested the sheets smelt unpleasant, we have spoken to the owner and she is contacting the cleaners to remedy the situation although once the washer dryer is installed the problem should be resolved. Anything with batteries, I think due to the humidity items in the apartment like the safe and air con remote did not initially work, all we had to do was remove and replace them again and it sorted it out. The owner has said the local agents will check the appliances before people stay. The WiFi, it always worked absolutely fine but as it was the shared complex WiFi it only worked on the patio or if close to the window. Above all a great apartment in a great location, we would definitely stay again if we returned to Flic En Flac.

"Flic en Flac Peuplier"
We spent 18 nights stay in a very good studio. Our goal was to spend our holiday in a warm country. Mauritius is this country. Perfect stay. Our studio was large and confortable. It was located on groundfloor. In the first moment we were not so satisfied, thru the days we changed the opinion. The studio was very good equipped: bathroom, kitchen, bed, services also. We appreciate a cleaning services on a week basis, because we do not like daily cleaning services. The pool was also perfect. Besides many many pluses I have some small minuses: Wifi connection was not stable and we could not anticipate the time when the Wifi goes or not. The signal was not very good. The second thing in the kitchen there is only one induction cooker. I would be better to have two ones for preparing the food. At the end we spent the fabulous stay. If it is possible we will repeat this holiday. Milan
Dear Milan, thank you again for your review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. Please accept our apologies again for the WiFi disagreement: the internet service provider let us down on New Year's eve and took a couple of days to resolve the situation. Happily enough, the situation improved in the early days of January and the WiFi issues are now solved. Regarding the cooking plates, we have already provisioned new dual induction cooking plates and I will be installing them in person this March. Kindly Yours, Vivien

"A well-kept residence and apartment"
It was our first time in Mauritius and, as we later realised, we chose a well-kept, secure and orderly residence, which, in addition, was 5 min. walk from the beach, and with an excellent supermarket, bars and restaurants across the road or near the residence. All in all, we were quite satisfied with the apartment and the amenities offered. The cleaning lady, who came by once a week to clean and change sheets and towels, was extremely thorough and diligent in her work, and left the apartment spick and span. The garden and facilities were very well looked after. There is free access to Wi-Fi except that is is very slow. There were only 3 TV channels, two of which were in Indian and Creole languages. The beach is very nice and ideal for long walks, but bring some suitable footwear along because the beach is strewn with pieces of coral which can be rather painful when stepped upon. The area is ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving. Bus services are cheap and go regularly. Taxis are also inexpensive provided you are prepared to haggle about the price.

We enjoyed our stay at the Stunning Flic & Flac studo apartment. It is brand new apartment and everything inside the apartment is also brand new. The beach is a few steps away and the local SPAR has everything you need. There is a lovely sparkling pool right at your doorstep. The owner Vivien and his partner Nadia are very nice people. They will be able to answer any questions you have with regard to touring and shops and entertainment. There are some beautiful places to visit close by, Tamarin with beautiful sunsets and Le Mornay where you can go visit neighbouring islands on a Catamaran. We will most definately stay at this beautful apartment again. The room has an airconditioner which helps at night when it gets too hot ;- ) There is a safe and everything else a person would need during your stay. I miss the smell of Frangipani ;- )
Thank you very much for your review. It was very nice to meet the two of you and have you as guests in the apartment. We are very happy you enjoyed the apartment and its convenient location to local shops, the beach and the beautiful sites and islands on the West Coast of the island. As frequent travellers, we are keen to visit what the locals recommend, because we believe they are more likely to tell you about the hidden places of interest, their favourite restaurants and the shops where you can get a good bargain! So, we try to do the same as well for all our holiday makers! We always try our best to make holidaymakers feel welcome and have a wonderful holiday – and we are so pleased you guys had a good time! We cannot wait to see both of you again and remember, next time: canyoning!
