The cottage is located just five minutes' walk from the beach. Quiet and peaceful, yet only ten minutes from bustling St. John's. Many excellent beaches and great restaurants are within a 10-20 minute drive.

Leading from the main room is a spacious balcony with lovely views of the lake and bird life, furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco.

With an air-conditioned bedroom with a king size bed, the cottage is ideal for couples who want to get away from it all, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

I very rarely return anywhere twice let alone three times so this alone tells anyone reading that this is a great place to stay. Comfort and safety when on holiday are all to me and these are both in abundance at these cottages. I have now stayed in both the one bedroomed and a studio cottage and know both are are a home from home. The welcome from Gabie and Douglas plus their dogs was as usual wonderful. Another lovely welcome card for my collection awaited me with one of Gabie's super paintings on the cover. I had six nights of pure relaxation and knew that if I needed anything assistance was just up the path. Two weeks home and I am suffering from withdrawal symptoms.

I spent an entire month at Yepton and enjoyed the tranquility of the cottages and surroundings. All amenities are provided and the cottages are extremely well equipped. The internet works best outdoors. The owners make every effort to ensure that you have everything you need.

Following a lovely week in October 2011 at Yepton I decided a return visit was needed and this time stayed in one of the Studio Cottages. Like the one bedroomed cottages there is everything that could be needed plus a lot more that I hadn't thought I wanted but made full use of as I was there. An added bonus on the walls are originals of Gabby's paintings. Beautiful, colourful and very skilled. Two of the other cottages were occupied during my stay but I wouldn't have known anyone was there due to the spacing of the properties and the way they are sited so you are not looking straight at your neighbours. A cottage with disabled access is being built which when complete will be super for those requiring it.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Gabriela (the owner) a message.

If Gabriela (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
