A lovey and comfortable 2 bedroom villa situated on the West Coast, set in the owner’s garden with a well-appointed kitchen, open plan lounge diner and a wrap-around balcony, outside gazebo and parking space available. Maid service is provided once a week.

There is a large split kitchen and open plan living area at the front of the villa. The kitchen is well appointed with lots of cupboards and granite work tops. There is a large separate electric hob and a double split-level oven, a built-in microwave and large American style fridge freezer. Some of the appliances include; a toaster, blender, electric hand mixer, filter coffee machine and there are ample glasses, cutlery, china, pots and pans. The dining area has a 6-seater glass dining table and a large glass cupboard. The lounge area has a stylish matching 3-seater sofa, 2-seater sofa and chair, a coffee table, 2 standard lamps and a smart TV with multiple English-speaking channels. There are 3 doors opening outside onto the balcony, one from the kitchen area and 2 from the living area.

The bedrooms and bathroom are situated at the back of the villa. Both the bedrooms are air-conditioned. The main bedroom includes a superking-size bed, bedside table, wardrobe, dressing table and door out onto its own balcony, facing west with views of the sea and sunsets through the palm tree foliage. A mini safe and hairdryer are provided. The second bedroom has a kingsize bed, bedside table, wardrobe, dressing table and large chest of drawers. It also has a door out onto its own balcony, facing west with similar views. Both balconies are provided with a table and 2 chairs.

The large bathroom situated between the bedrooms has a large double power shower a vanity unit with large mirror made from local limestone and cupboards underneath. It also has a laundry basket and towel rails. An iron is provided under the cupboard.

Outside in the garden there is a tiled roofed gazebo and a wooden garden table and 6 chairs with an umbrella.

Fresh fruit and vegetables can be bought direct from the villa owner, as he sells them locally.

The villa is equipped with 4 beach chairs, beach towels and a portable sun umbrella.

The villa is very well situated only a few minutes’ walk to the beaches, main road and bus stops. Jordans supermarket is a 10-minute walk and can be done along the beach. Wendy's Sports Bar (also a local shop) is a 2-minute walk. There are lots of good restaurants nearby including; Tides, Daphne’s, CinCin, The Cliff and Il Tempio. Holetown is just 10 minutes away by bus with all its great shops and bars and restaurants. Going south the capital Bridgetown is only 20 minutes away by bus. Paynes fish market is just up the road. A comprehensive guide to the restaurants is provided in the villa along with a tourist guide and map.

I have an excellent local driver who can do your transfer from the airport, if required. He can also offer a range of tailor-made tours of the island. He is also our point of contact on the island and keyholder.

Being new to this, it is lovely to know that my first guests who originally booked for 3 weeks, felt so much at home that they extended their stay to almost 6 weeks!

Getting around

Buses are easy to use and very cheap, 3.50 Barbados Dollars each trip. The yellow ones are the safest. (The blue ones are mostly used by the locals for work). They stop at the end of the road opposite the beach and take about 10 minutes to get to Holetown, north of the villa with its array of shops, restaurants and banks and the largest supermarket. Its also about 15 minutes south to Bridgetown and all its historical sites, including the Mount Gay rum factory and Garrison. They drive on the same side of the road as the UK and its easy to do but beware, some of the road signs are a little obscure. The taxi company we have teamed up with are also useful to know and charge the same as locals and not tourist prices.

Interaction with guest

There is a file in the villa with lots of tour recommendations, boat trips, restaurants and numbers of local places to see and eat. I can forward this to you in advance and recommend activities depending on your interests. Our driver is very knowledgeable about the island and its history so just ask us about anything you would like to know or do. I will also advise you on prebooking restaurants or catamaran trips depending on how long you are staying and the time of year as they often get very booked up. There are some tourist guides in the villa which include an island map in them for you to take away, supplied by the tourist board. Just ask me anything. The maid will also do in villa evening meals by arrangement payable direct to her

There are only 2 double beds so children would have to share. There are no facilities for infants ie travelcots or high chairs so you would have to bring them yourself.
