The England region

The North Cornish coastline is breathtakingly beautiful and can be appreciated at any time of the year. Cornwall has a lot to offer- whatever your age, whatever your needs and whatever the weather!

The famous Minack Outdoor Theatre is carved into the cliffs at Porthcurno. It is a must see and is a 45min drive from Newquay - take a picnic and some wine and cushions and sit back and enjoy a show set against a dramatic backdrop of blue sea and cliffs.

The Eden Project, Flambards Theme Park, St Michaels Mount and St Ives are also just a few of the many attractions that are within easy reach of Newquay.

The keen walker or cyclist is also well catered for- the St Pirans Trail out of Newquay follows a picturesque journey through Cornish villages and peaceful countryside taking in ancient buildings and stunning gardens.
Tintagel with its famous ruins and Arthurian legends is also an excellent day out.

Perranporth and its golden sand-dunes are well worth a visit, even if you just plan to stop for a pint of Cornish Ale and fresh food at the Watering Hole (one of the few pubs in the UK that is actually located on the beach) on Perranporth Beach.

Cornwall has so many attractions, the biggest challenge for any holidaymaker is finding the time to fit it all in.

West Country

Newquay is known as the surfer's paradise with its 7 miles of golden sands and rugged coastline- its easy to understand why Newquay is the most popular year round holiday destination in Cornwall as it has something for everyone!

Fistral beach is used by some of the country's top surfers and is the main venue for all major UK surfing competitions throughout the year. There is no better place to take surf lessons than in Newquay and with 7 beaches to choose from, there is plenty of choice.

Rick Stein (Seafood) and Jamie Oliver's (Fifteen) restaurants are all within driving distance of Newquay and are well worth a visit- however there are plenty of excellent restaurants to choose from within Newquay itself, catering to a wide variety of tastes- such as Fistral Blu offering gourmet food whilst taking in the panoramic sea views of Fistral beach and the New Harbour Restaurant with excellent fresh fish dishes to choose from whilst drinking wine overlooking the picturesque Newquay Harbour. If you are after a substantial pub meal and Cornish ale, then look no further than the Red Lion Pub near the harbour which also has live music on Fridays after 9pm.
Lewinnick Lodge on the Pentire headland is also highly recommended for great food with great views of the coast.

Experience a slice of life beneath the waves by visiting the Blue Reef Aquarium situated on Towan Beach or visit Trenance Leisure Park which houses Waterworld, Newquay Zoo, a boating lake and sporting facilities.
There is plenty to do, including a range of up to 10 circular walks taking in points of natural beauty and interest.

Newquay is also renowned for its lively night-life and there are plenty of pubs and bars to choose from offering a range of entertainment from live shows and live music to suit a range of tastes.
