Lazyday Cottage is located in the Scottish Borders

The Lodge is fully equipped kitchen and en-suite bathrooms, free standing bath and wet room.

The Lodge has a private hot tub on the decking area, and sauna across the lawn.

For a quiet and peaceful location, with lots of great places to visit, from ancient castles to the beaches of the stunning Northumberland Coast, or you can just stay around the lodge and relax in the hot tub.

The area has many golf courses, fishing on the river Tweed or out to sea on a day trip, lots of visitor attractions, seal watching on the coast

The Northumberland region

The Scottish Borders and North Northumberland are an area of the UK's best kept secrets, with it's own unique climate, pretty market towns, castles, outstanding sandy beaches and rugged coast line. The area boasts an array of visitor attractions within a short drive.


Berwick, a walled town steeped in history, and with all the amenities for the whole family, supermarkets, leisure centre, cinema, theatre, eating, drinking, beautiful bridges, and architecture.

Local attractions include Paxton House and gardens, The Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle and gardens there are many festivals and markets in and around the area

Berwick Barracks, now maintained by English Heritage, and built between 1717 and 1721.

The Royal Border Bridge, designed and built under the supervision of Robert Stephenson in 1847 at a cost of £253,000, is a 720-yard-long railway viaduct with 28 arches, carrying the East Coast Main Line 126 feet above the River Tweed. It was opened by Queen Victoria in 1850.

The Union Bridge (five miles upstream), the world's oldest surviving suspension bridge.

The painter LS Lowry was a frequent visitor to Berwick, especially in the 1930s, when he stayed at the Castle Hotel.
