The Pembrokeshire region

The beautiful and varied county of Pembrokeshire has something for everyone. The rugged coastline can be walked for almost its entire length along the 300 kilometre long coastal path, offering a stunning experience for walkers or mountain bikers. Beach lovers are spoilt for choice with numerous clean and sandy beaches, from sweeping bays to tiny coves, and there are plenty of opportunities for sea fishing, canoeing and kayaking. For birdwatchers and nature lovers there are regular boat trips to the island nature reserves where, in spring and early summer, puffins can be found. Inland there is plenty to interest historians, from stone circles and iron age forts to medieval towns and villages. Families who enjoy theme parks and water parks can find top class visitor attractions, whilst there are numerous traditional pubs and high quality restaurants for those who enjoy a drink or a meal out.

Fishguard

Brodog Court is ideally located for exploring the beautiful coastline and beaches of Pembrokeshire. The Coastal Path, stretching in both directions from Fishguard, is ideal for walkers, while beautiful beaches such as Newport Sands, Poppit Sands, Whitesands, Newgale and Broad Haven are short drives away. A leisurely stroll will take you to a small beach at Goodwick in one direction or, in the other, the picturesque fishing village of Fishguard Lower Town.

Fishguard itself has several amenities including the library and tourist information centre, an excellent leisure centre, a small cinema, food shops, galleries and craft shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The historic city of St. David's and its cathedral are well worth a visit, as is Tenby, with its attractive harbour and beaches, and Pembroke, with its medieval castle.

Priskilly Forest Golf Club is just six miles from Fishguard but there are several other courses nearby including those with spectacular views at Newport and St. Davids. There are boat trips available along the coast to Ramsay Island, Caldey and Skomer and plenty of other local attractions for families such as Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park, Blue Lagoon Water Park and West Wales Karting.
