"This home is magnificent. The views and location are ideal."
We were so comfortable staying in thislovely home. It is very well secured, and has a tranquil atmosphere. We loved the beautiful gardens in the back as well as the views of the beach and mountains, which is breathtaking. We were able to walk to the beach quite easily from the house and loved the quaint neighboring town, Kalk Bay, which was also within close proximity. We felt very safe in this neighborhood, and also found it to be a peaceful retreat as well as a great place for entertaining. The owner is an experienced tour guide and gave us many tips on how to spend our days in Cape Town. In addition, she helped plan our trip to a game reserve in Kwazulu Natal.... We will definitely recommend this place to friends who are wanting a self-catering holiday in Cape Town.

"Gorgeous, artistic home full of inspiration that embodies the essence of the Southern Peninsula."
This gorgeous home lends a cottage feel with an African flare. Every room and each part of the garden is finished with artistic detail. The house is beautifully maintained and furnished. Every piece is full of character, from the mosaic steps, the masterfully landscaped gardens, to the handpainted pottery. The home is nestled in the side of the mountain and surrounded by lush gardens. It is perfectly situated between the mountains and within walking distance to the peaceful Clovelly beach, with several other beaches minutes away. There are lovely restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and stores closeby. At night, enjoy expansive views of the Southern peninsula and the mountains from the porch. This home is also very secure. It is altogether a gorgeous home in the heart of the most beautiful corner of Cape Town. You will fall in love with this place!

"Great location and great host"
I was looking for a quiet restful spot outside of the city yet able to commute in for business meetings and some weekend tourism. I was very happy with this choice - it enjoys a fabulous view of the hills and bay (from the front), and its a short walk to the shops and restaurants of Fish Hoek village and the commuter railway station. The host Penny was very informative, gave some great local knowledge and tourism tips, and was even able to drop me off in the city on some days.
