Location description from owner

The Ionian Islands region

The sun sea and islands have been attracting visitors to Greece for many years. Cephalonia is a relative newcomer to the tourism industry. The traditional charm and flavour of the island has been retained, which is what makes it such a wonderful destination. Being the birthplace of democracy, philosophy, and sciences, Greeks are proud of their rich culture and ancestry, and are delighted when foreigners show genuine interest in their cultural heritage and customs. The weather in early and late season can be variable, with intermittent rain and temperatures dropping in the evening. The summer is hot and dry with temperatures regularly exceeding 38 degrees C between June and September.

Fiscardo

Cephalonia is a beautiful island with much to offer -- including dramatic landscapes, picture-postcard villages, colourful harbours, stunning beaches and a fascinating history. There are so many places to explore in Cephalonia -- you could visit Argostoli, the bustling capital of the island, or go to the underground lake at Melissani cave, or see the stalactites and stalagmites at the cave of Drogarati. If history is more your thing, then there are Venetian fortresses, Byzantine remains, Mycenaean tombs and Roman mosaics. In short, Cephalonia is full of variety and is a perfect place to escape to and enjoy the richness and authenticity of island life.

“Totally ruined by owner”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2012

My wife & I stopped here in Aug 2010. We booked through Exclusive Escapes (who I believe no longer offer this villa). Every time we went out the owner let themselves into the villa and moved our things around, they also opened the welcome letter from Exclusive Escapes which was clearly addressed to us. The Villa itself is nice but, in my opinion, overpriced and you deffinitely need a car as the location is halfway up a mountain. There are loads of wasps which makes eating outside impossible

“Perfection”

Reviewed 28 May 2011

We stayed at Villa Zouzouni for our honeymoon and it could not have been more perfect. Tasso & Shari were the most amazing hosts. We arrived at 0630 but we headed straight to the villa where we were met with a warm welcome. We were left with all the provisions we needed and set about sunbathing on the terrace. The view is second to none, with total privacy. The infinity pool was as good as it sounds. In fact so good, we didn't move all week. The villa is near to local shops/ tavernas and so you can travel as far as you want to. We would certainly recommend the Taverna at Jerusalem beach run by 'Oddy' and his Mum - a real find. We went in May and had a perfect sunset every night right in front of the villa - you could not wish for more. Tasso & Shari are a phone call away should you need anything but you are left in total peace. For us, it was perfection and we could not recommend it highly enough.
