This grand, detached holiday home is a former Gentlemans residence and is located in Primrose Valley village, near the seaside town of Filey.

It retains many original features including parquet flooring, stained glass windows, high ceilings with cornice work and spacious rooms to lose yourself in.

There is also a traditional Pub within the property while the lawned and landscaped gardens are complemented with a hot tub and seating area with a BBQ.

The property features two large lounge areas for sitting back and relaxing while watching TV. All TVs are fitted with Freeview, whilst one of the lounges has a full Sky package, so there is no need to ever miss sporting events, movies or the latest TV again. Free WiFi throughout.

Getting away with the whole family provides a great opportunity to have a good natter over some amazing food. The dining room has two large tables to cater for the whole family with the kitchen opening up into the dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a multi-fuel range, American style fridge freezer, washer, dryer, microwave and dishwasher. Cutlery, crockery, pans and utensils are all supplied in the kitchen for that home cooked meal!

Spend an evening in your very own traditional English Pub where, you can even pull your own pint! The pub boasts Sky TV, pool table, dart board (no darts provided), music docking stations as well as numerous board games to keep all the family entertained! The Pub is accessed via the kitchen, located in a one story building so, no one will be disturbed if you turn the music up and belt out a tune or two! However, please note, the property is situated in a residential area and therefore, we do ask that noise is kept to an acceptable level after 11pm.

Kick back and relax in the hot tub, which is one of the great features of the private gardens. Soak up the bubbles with plenty of space for everyone either in or outside of the tub! There is a brick built barbeque for the summer nights and also a play area to keep the younger guests occupied while the adults enjoy the bar and tub. The large lawned areas are fantastically maintained with so much space for kids to run around in!

The bright and airy conservatory leads off one of the living rooms and is an ideal place to relax and look out over the landscaped gardens meaning you can always keep an eye on the kids while they play in the spacious gardens or on the playground.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms...

The first floor comprises of two double bedrooms and one triple room. All the rooms are bright and airy with plenty of space. One double room contains a 5ft sleigh bed and the other features an en-suite bathroom which showcases a roll top bath, basin and toilet. There is a family bathroom with a jacuzzi bath, seperate shower room and a single toilet on this floor.

The second floor has one double room, one triple room (three single beds) and one twin room. There are also two shower rooms with toilets on this floor.

There is one double bedroom on the ground floor with a wet room opposite. There are no steps to this bedroom or wet room and would be suitable for disabled guests. There is a seperate toilet on this floor and a toilet in the pub.


There is ample parking outside on the driveway.

Stayed with three other families for a week over New Year and it was perfect. House - the pictures do not do it justice, especially the scale. The rooms are massive, and the space in the house means you are not falling over each other - if you don't want to.The house is tastefully decorated with period features and the amenities are great. And don't worry about the cold, the heating was great (if anything maybe a little too hot, but that may just be us) Location - The house is on a quiet lane so hardly any traffic meaning that it is very peaceful, you are just a short walk from the amazing beach where you can walk in to Filey. When getting supplies you are only a couple of minutes from Filey by car so can get all supplies. Whitby and Scarborough are less than an hours drive also Service - this was exemplary. Booking was easy, they kept in touch and were flexible with check in times for us, as well as popping in to see how we were getting on. As it was Christmas we were surprised with some thoughtful gifts for the kids and a generous hamper which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend a stay here and are actively looking at planning a return trip.

“Absolutely Perfect Family Holiday”

This was our second holiday at Bourne End House, Filey. This house has absolutely everything for all the family. The bar and pool room has the atmosphere of a real bar, there is no end of space, which is perfect for a large 3 generation family group, the house is spotlessly clean, homely and very comfortable with a family friendly garden big enough for football and rounders games,a large patio, hot tub and play equipment. The beach is a short walk away and Filey within walking distance along the beach. Just the perfect holiday with friendly and helpful owners who turned up with a light bulb within minutes when we asked where we could find one! Thank you

Stay at this property October 2019 enjoyed every minute of it. The house is absolutely stunning and it's in a lovely location the house was very clean on arrival the rooms are so spacious and bright. Took our children and 5 grandchildren who loved exploring the house and lovely garden. Would definitely go back and already looking at booking for xmas there. “Amazing family holiday”

I booked Bourne End House for my husbands birthday weekend, we wanted a family holiday and this house is perfect for both adults and children. This was our second time staying Bourne End House and again our stay was fantastic, the house and garden is huge so with 9 adults and 7 children aged from 6 months to 55 you always had a place to go, we spent most of our time in the garden as we had fantastic weather, the kids loved playing football and cricket in the garden and the hot tub was a massive hit with everyone! The games cupboard was great, the kids loved playing a few games before bed. The kitchen is a great space enough seating for everyone, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed to cook for 16 people. The bar area was a massive success with everyone the TVs, pool table and darts was a great way to spend your evening, again with enough room for all. We loved every minute of our time at Bourne End House and we will be returning.

This is our 4th family holiday at Bourne End House. The house is perfect for a large group as there is loads of space, inside and out. It’s also in the perfect location, easy to walk down to the beach and into Filey. The house has everything you need. Plenty of large bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, a dining area big enough for everyone, loads of seating areas so you can spread out and a massive enclosed garden. Highly recommend for a large group holiday!!

A perfect property for large groups Lots of small children but didn’t have to worry about waking them as were in the pub! Garden was great for the kids too as great size and fenced off. Rooms nice size Plenty of communal areas so didn’t feel like we were on top of each other! Hope to stay again
