“Seascape - great escape”
This beautiful cottage is located on The Bay, Filey a gorgeous setting for a holiday village. The roads are clear of cars (parking mostly round the back of properties) and are quite almost all the time. There is a HUGE beach which is about ten mins walk ( a steep walk back up), take a wheeled trolley for all your water etc for the beach. The sand is excellent and you could walk along the beach for at least 2 or 3 miles in each direction. There is also a superb swimming pool on site. The cottage is beautiful with lots of space, an upstairs bathroom/toilet and a downstairs toilet. The kitchen is well equiped with cooker, microwave, washer, dishwasher and all sorts of pots & pans. A very nice touch is the welcome pack, tea, coffee sugar milk, jujst right to have a quick drink aftrer arriving. There is so much to see and do in this area, one thing we came across on a rainy day was the Scarborough Fair collection, just 10 mins away. A supoerb coillection of vintage fairground rides, cars and pipe organs, lots of fun. We also found a couple of local pubs for eating, The Royal Oak, a couple of miles away, great paly area for kids and superb food. The Bull Inn in Gristhorpe, about 5 miles away serves the most delicious food including a choice of roast dinners every day. Just down the road in Filey, is The Brown Room for great fish & chips, either take away or eat in. The Bay Village is a great setting for this lovely cottage and we would have no hesitation in recommending this property, we hope to visit again soon.
“Great family break away”
We only live a couple of hours away from the east coast so haven't done it as a holiday before as we usually day trip here. However, we had a FAB week at Seascape. The cottage is a home from home and has everything you need plus other little appreciated extras like teabags and washing up liquid. Also, games and an extra bucket and spade which our 1 and 3 year olds appreciated! The Bay is a good resort and the current building work going on really didn't bother us. The kids loved the swimming pool and the path down to the beach was suitable for prams. The beach itself was gorgeous and we were blessed with some lovely weather. The bay could just do with an extra playground as the only one there was getting plenty of use but wasn't suitable for our toddling 1 year old and needed to be bigger for all the children wanting to use it. We had great days out at the sealife centre in Scarborough, a lovely meal at Ask in Scarborough where we could use Tesco clubcard vouchers, lovely days in quaint Filey and had a few days where we used the Bay facilities and beach. The host was very lovely when I got in touch as our 1 year old had hidden the door keys! All was ok in the end but she responded straight away when I put forward our dilemma! It really was a perfect little base for a lovely holiday and we will be back. Missing it already.
Great house very clean with all your home comforts would recommend a visit see you again next year :)
“cant wait to go back!!!”
the house was fantastic. very clean and in lovely surroundings. took our son who is 4. weather not to great the first couple of days so the use of the swimming pool was brilliant. had a fantastic time and hopefully returning soon. a real home from home.
“Review of Seascape Filey”
We had a 4 night stay & found the cottage a home from home, warm & spotlessly clean. The facilities were excellent both in the property & the Gym, Sauna & Swimming Pool. We enjoyed a game of pool at the onsite Pub & restaurant. We took the short walk down to the beech & walked into Filey which was wonderful. We were very lucky with the weather for November, having clear, bright sunny days, a nice treat. We would definitely recommend this to our family & friends & we look forward to returning shortly.
“Fantastic holiday home perfect location”
Just returned from a lovely break staying at Seascape. It is in a fantastic central location to visit local places like Filey, Bridlington & Whitby. Would recommend this holiday house to anyone, it is like a home from home. Hope to visit again soon. Thanks to Fiona.
“Lovely spacious open plan family holiday home”
Excellent swimming pool which is included in the price, which also has sauna and steam room, also good size baby pool. Very good cafe/bistro next door to pool which does tasty pizza and pasta. Nice walk to beach. Not too far from filey, scarboro and bridlington. Already recommended to friends and family.
“Much better than staying in a hotel!”
We likened The Bay Holiday Village to ' The Truman Show' film - all rather perfect! Having the basics there (salt, vinegar, dishwasher tabs, wash powder etc), towels supplied and beds made up took all the hassle of self-catering away leaving the benefits. We took a lovely ten minute walk directly on to the beach then a 35 minute walk along the clean sand into Filey for a cappuccino on the beach. A swim, steam and sauna (just 2 mins away) added to the luxury as did the extra tv in the bedroom.
“Fantastic accommodation, great resort, lovely beach”
We had a fantastic time, the accommodation had everything we needed and more. It was lovely and comfortable and very modern. The Bay was a great resort, which felt very safe for our young kids, who played out happily on thier scooters. The bar and cafe on site need to improve the quality of thier food and the range of food,on offer, but the sports centre and pool was great. Walk to the beach was so easy, and the beach was clean and very quiet, just brilliant!!!
“Fantastic accommodation with everything we needed”
The property is on a great site and had everything we needed. The owners provided a welcome pack and many extras which made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Great service & contact from owners so we have just booked to return in a few months time.
