“Close to main road”

Reviewed 26 Jun 2017

The annex is quite small but big enough for two people and our border collie, with most things you need. The annex is very close to a busy main road with police cars and ambulances passing frequently. We found reversing onto the small drive easier to get our dog and us out of our carats rejoining the road. We got used to the trains and also slept very well at night, but it needs wider curtains in bedroom to keep early sun out. There is no use of a garden for personal use to sit in on nice evenings but use of garden for dog to use, who was very nervous of passing at speed traffic at first. The Filey beach is a 35 minute walk away but is dog friendly, the pub is a 15 minute walk when it's open also dog friendly.

“Dog friendly”

Reviewed 22 Oct 2016

Had a fantastic few days staying at the Garden Annexe, lovely and clean. Sylvia was very friendly and helpful, great location for all of the east coast destinations. The Royal Oak is well worth a visit and dog friendly. The road is very busy it didn't bother us but worth reversing into parking space for ease of getting out. Hopefully visit again soon.

“Great little cottage”

U unfortunately had to cut our stay short but had a very enjoyable stay would certainly recommend it should Sylvia was more than welcoming giving us her knowledge as to where to eat and visit will try and visit again

Owner's reply: Sorry you had to cut your stay short. There's a bottle of wine waiting for you on your next visit.

“Lovely place for couple & dogs”

Reviewed 4 Sep 2016

Steve & Sylvia were most welcoming and helped us to connect to the Wi-Fi when we got there The cottage is on the busy main road A165 so you have to be careful getting in and out especially with dogs Filey is a lovely place and the area around Flamborough is very interesting We very much enjoyed our stay Small point Batteries in the DVD player were corroded Took them out but didn't replace

Owner's reply: Many thanks. Lovely guests. Must admit the traffic this summer has been e trembly busy. Dvd now sorted, thankyou.

“Lovely Cottage.”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2016

Just come back from a 3 night stay with our 2 dogs. Would definitely recommend this place. Near to Filey,Scarborough and Bridlington. The owner is so friendly and helpful. She left milk for a cuppa on our arrival and made a fuss of the dogs. Nothing was too much trouble. There is a pub just down the road that serves meals and just accross the road from the pub is a petrol station and Spar shop. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back. Kim and Matt.

Owner's reply: Thankyou. Lovely guests and beautiful pets. This is what it's all about. A great time away where you feel at home and welcome. A pleasure to have met you all, hope to see you soon. Ps. I didn't realise how big your pets were, I will get bigger treats in for them next time. They must have thought they were on a diet. Lol. X
