The Villa is a portion of the Historical complex called Torre di Colonne dated from XI to XV Century, protected by the Italian Landmark Preservation Ministry.
The Villa has been renovated in the last 4 years and consists of 2 double bedrooms, a living room with direct access to the wide and panoramic terrace, a comfortable and well equipped Kitchen with space outside for dining, 2 bathrooms with shower.
In the living is also available a sofabed for 2 added persons ( 2 children or 1 adult)
A children cot is also available complimentary.
The Villa is on 2 levels with few inside steps.

Car is necessary, private parking available in the property.
The Villa is strategically located to visit Florence, Fiesole and all the most well known destination in Tuscany and the amazing Chianti Rufina vineyards and the hills covered bt countless olive trees.
Beautiful and interestig trails are available from the house door for walking and cicling lovers
The owner, Alba, lives in the other portion of the Villa and is glad to help you with maps and informations and to book museum tickets
From the porch you can enjoy a breezy weather in the summer while just few minutes from the summer heat of the city.
There is central heater system and a typical wood burning stove to create a warm and cozy environment in the winter.
The classic Italian decor makes the stay comfortable and you can enjoi and share the real local way of living..
Good Tuscan flavour Restaurants and Pizzeria are available close to the Villa ( 1 to 3 kms)

We stayed for a week in the height of summer. Set in a beautiful location in the hills above Florence, the villa was a perfect base for a touring holiday. Clean and reasonably spacious, Alba is always on hand in her own adjacent property to help if needed. It's a very quiet, peaceful place. The nearest major supermarket is just down the road in Pontassieve, around 10 - 15 minutes drive and Florence is probably 30 minutes dependant on traffic. Incidentally, although the daytime temperature was around 34C whilst we were there the villa stays very cool and air conditioning isn't missed at all. In summary, we would stay there again in a heartbeat, a lovely holiday, perfect location and a great but unobtrusive host.
“Beautiful country villa, perfect for two couples”
Alba is a wonderful host who insures that you have a perfect stay. The villa is about 10-15 minutes by car to free parking lot and the bus into Firenze. After the crowds of the city it is wonderful to have the beauty and peace of this home base. We stayed 5 nights, spent some days in the city and some exploring Chianti region. We followed Alba to the very nearby Castello del Trebbio winery and made arrangements for a tour, tasting, and dinner. The villa itself is on two levels with bedroom and bathroom on each. The outdoor space is wonderful and views are spectacular. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
“Tuscan hills at your doorstep!”
La villa Torre alle Colonne is a beautifully restored house overlooking the hills around Fiesole. The annex we rented overlooks the main courtyard but has an independent entrance. The place has all you need to be comfortable and a special shower that caught the imagination of our children!, (light, music, hydromassage etc ;-) Alba, the owner, lives on site and is super helpful and full of advice and tips. From the house you have direct access to many walking trails and it's easy to explore many pictoresque villages nearby; unfortunately the weather was still a bit chilly but i imagine this to be the perfect base for a relaxing holiday walking in the Tuscan countryside in the spring/ summer time. Florence is not far away (30-40min drive) but you will need a car and make sure you avoid the SS67 Aretina! This is often very busy and it might add another 30min to your journey. Better to head north and take the SS302 Faentina. All in all we enjoyed our stay, and enjoyed meeting Alba very much! We will try and go back in the summer to try and make the most of the beautiful location
“Cozy, modern in a Medieval contest. Warm hospitality. Great value for money”
We decided to have some days beetween Florence and Lucca and since we stayed in the city center of Lucca we decided to choose a country place close to Firenze and Fiesole. We dicovered Villa Torre di Colonne and we think it has been the best choice for us. Alba, the owner lives on the other side of the wide courtyard and is a special person. Calm, sweet very welcoming. The house is part of a medieval complex with a Tower. It is well equipped and with space enough for 4 or six people. We were only 2. In march we enjoied the cozy atmosphere of the fireplace having dinner. We think in summer this location should be perfect for escaping the heat!! Great value for the price we payed. Florence is at 15 minutes drive and Fiesole at less then 10 minutes. Following the Alba's indication we also visited the small little churh of Lubaco that we never discovered without her hint. Thank you, grazie Alba, you have a beautiful holiday house. We will be back as soon we can.
