Location description from owner

The Tuscany region

Situated in central Italy , extending from the Apennines to the Tyrrhenian Sea , Tuscany is the unquestioned leader in the world tourism . The landscapes, the artistic heritage and important cities, first of all Florence , make this region unique. In this region , nature has many different faces , starting with the coastline of beaches long and sandy , like the Versilia , with steep cliffs and rocky headlands .Incomparable are the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago , surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, clear blue sea and rich fishing grounds .TUSCAN:Views of unspoilt countryside you can see the Apuan Alps and in several protected areas , including the Orbetello lagoon which is home to many species of migratory birds , including herons rose. But the most characteristic landscapes of the region are those which combine the beauty of nature with the presence of man .The beautiful Gulf of Baratti and the sites of Vetulonia and Pitigliano guard cemeteries and traces of Etruscan civilization , while Roselle and Cosa evoke memories of the Roman age.And then , medieval villages, towns rich in history , castles and fortification systems , rural churches ( the so-called " churches " ) and beautiful abbeys , such as that of St. Antimo , are present throughout the country and their profiles stand out in landscapes of the Crete Senesi, the Val d'Orcia , Garfagnana , Chianti and the Maremma. Finally, there are numerous sources of well-being: Montecatini , Saturnia , Montepulciano, Bagno Vignoni Monsummano and that, thanks to the hot springs and equipped centers for each type of treatment , offering relaxing holidays .

Fiesole

The province of Florence, cradle of the Renaissance and the Italian language , extends in an area with a timeless feel , like Mugello , the Montagna Fiorentina , Valdarno , a part of Chianti and the Empoli Val d'Elsa , which have different environmental and landscape characteristics .At the center , in a valley crossed by the Arno , shines the magnificent city of Florence, one of Europe's most beautiful , full of amazing sights and artistic works by the greatest masters of Humanism and the Renaissance , people who have impressed their indelible mark in architecture and art of all time : from Giotto , Brunelleschi, Michelangelo to Vasari , by Michelozzo, Leon Battista Alberti , to name a few .Florence, cradle of the Renaissance unanimously recognized , annually draws crowds of Italian and foreign tourists to admire its beautiful churches, sumptuous palaces and museums that make it unique in the world. The charm of the city also extends to its territory , starting from the hills that surround it where there are unique places like the village of Fiesole or Certosa del Galluzzo .All around stretch enchanting areas with stunning landscapes such as Chianti where you can follow many paths for art and food and other areas from Mugello to Valdarno , reserving a large variety of surprises : ancient castles , churches and villas.Everywhere , historic centers and art treasures make it unique provincial territory , creating a perfect combination of nature and culture. Every single village , with its particular aspects , it is a reality to be discovered: Empoli with its rich cultural heritage contained in the walls of the fifteenth century , Sesto Fiorentino with the famous Etruscan tomb Montagnola , Impruneta, with its production of earthenware or even Borgo San Lorenzo with the remains of fortifications and magnificent fourteenth-century parish church , Castelfiorentino and Barberino Val d'Elsa , just to name a few.The territory of Florence is surprising to many routes that can be followed in the setting of stunning scenery.
