'The Hideaway' is a wonderful 4 bedroom pet friendly, front line beach house with exceptional views over and direct access onto the beach from its secure garden. The property has been refurbished within the last 4 years to include a new kitchen/breakfast room, bathroom and more recently an exceptional architecturally designed double volume staircase and first floor extension has been built to create a fantastic lounge and bedroom suite with a freestanding bath and separate wc. Both the bedroom and lounge feature floor to ceiling bi fold doors that open out onto a spectacular terrace with 180 degree far reaching sea views that extend toward Brighton to the East and the Isle of White to the West. The property is ideal for an intimate long weekend getaway from the rigors of day to day life or longer family get together's or holidays as it could accommodate up to 8 people. The ground floor accommodation comprising of a double bedroom, twin room, bunk room, luxurious bathroom with under floor heating, deep over sized bath tub with separate shower cubicle and wc, a sociable modern fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar and wall opening which overlooks the living/dining room that has sliding patio doors with access and views to the rear garden and the sea beyond. There is a small play room extension with a few children's board games, books, play kitchen and puzzles.NB: Check in is from 5pm and checkout is 11am. If you would like to arrive earlier/leave later please discuss at the time of booking as we could possibly be flexible subject to the times of other bookings.
We have tried to keep it a getaway and do not have wired internet but there is a 4G dongle available which is ideal for basic web browsing and receiving emails. Please also note that as the house is located in a residential area we ask guests to be mindful of our neighbours and to keep any music levels down after 11pm.

The West Sussex region
The house is a short walk to both the The Bluebird Cafe and Sea Lane Cafe which are both beachfront restaurants popular with locals and many visitors. It is also 0.5m (10min level walk) to the local shops at South Ferring where you will find a grocery store for the basics, a newsagent, Indian restaurant and The Tudor Close which is a charming family friendly gastro pub. Within a short drive you have many large superstores that have recently opened including Asda, Tescos, Morrisons and the new Sainsburys in Rustington for everything under one roof.
The surrounding areas you have many picturesque Villages dotted around the South Down and busier towns such as Rustington, Worthing, Chichester and Brighton that can be visited by car, bus or by train (the nearest station which is on the Southern Network is Goring By Sea which is 1.5miles away).
For the active there are many land and water based activities area including: country and coastal walks, numerous challenging golf courses, horse riding, fishing, sailing, and local windsurfing, kite surfing and paddleboard schools within walking distance. The new Splashpoint Leisure Pool in Worthing is great for the children when the sun does not shine as it has a toddler pool with slide and play area, a good size swimming pool and our children's favorite is the diving pool and splash time when a huge inflatable climbing frame is placed in the main pool area. We also understand that there is going to be a big indoor soft play area with bowling at the nearby Rustington Golf Center and Virgin Active which could also be fun.
West Sussex features many historical and family attractions from the Roman Palace at Fishbourne to Historical Arundel Castle, a family day at the WWT Wetland Centre or the Amberley Chalk Pit Museum to Horse racing at Fontwell and Goodwood to mention a few.
