The Manor House "Casa de Valdemar" is a beautiful and charming estate, with a lot of character, beautifully restored, surrounded by a 2.5 hectares of landscaped gardens.

The property has two buildings:

- The mansion, with 8 exclusive large and cozy bedrooms, all en-suite. 7 rooms with twin beds of which one has a third bed and also 1 with a double bed and a single bed bringing the total to 16/18 persons in the mansion. (no more than that). And,

- The second building, are four duplex cottage, between the main house and the pool, has four bedrooms all en-suite with double beds (for two persons each).

*Please note that You can rent the main house only or the main house with all or part of the duplex studios. If only the main house is rented, all the studios will be closed. If You rent the main house and some of the studios, the remaining will be closed. In other words, if your group is larger than 16/18 persons, then it is necessary to rent one to four of these duplex studios and you only pay for those you use. The remaining studios will be closed, because the property is for the exclusive use of your group.

The main house also features:

Ground floor:

1- games/reading room, where you can play cards, chess, hear music or read the newspaper in the quietude of the room.

2- Spacious Living room, with two sofas and chairs, Satellite TV, DVD, music center, fire place and some books, with patio door leading to an outside garden.

3- Five bedrooms all in suite

First Floor:

The lower ground floor has an open plan over looking the valley.

1- large granite-topped dining room, ample seating for all, with patio door leading to a outside patio and BBQ area with garden furniture, ideal for “Al fresco meals”.

2- Spacious fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, two larges fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and all the usual appliances and equipment.

3- Utility room & laundry with washing machine, iron and iron board.

There are areas just outside where clothes will normally dry quickly, so children's clothes, shorts and tee shirts are not a problem.

There is also a Tennis table and games, in the living room by the pool.

Pool size: Length 13.00 mts x Width 8.00 mts. Shallow end 0.30 mts. Deep end 2.00 mts. Between the shallow end and the deep end 0.60mts

This place is ideal for families with children, as there are several options offered in perfect safety: games, soccer, swimming, table tennis and a lot of freedom for children to explore the environment with security.

Groups of older people are also welcome, as the main house has a lift.

Walking distance to all amenities. The small village (Longra) is 0,4km. In this village we have restaurants, patisserie, coffee shops, Pharmacy and supermarket. Felgueiras City is 4 km away. There, You can find large supermarkets, shops, very good restaurants, etc.

The setting is rural, although there are some other properties close by. However not overlooked by any properties.

The photos do not give justice to the property.

There are several restaurants within a 3 km radius where you can enjoy the best of typical regional and Portuguese cuisine at very reasonable prices. The local wine is absolute fantastic. When ordering food, always share portions as they are enough for at least two persons.

20 km from the property, you have both Amarante and Guimarães historical cities which are both recognized by UNESCO as World Patrimony.

40 km away you have the religious city of Braga.

35 km away (25/30 minutes by motor way) you have also the main city of north of Portugal-Oporto.

Douro Valley, were are the vineyards and they make the "Porto Wine", is also 50 km away.

Airport is 40 km away.

Easy access to all these places.

A lot of places to visit during your stay. After all this, no doubt, you will enjoy an unforgettable holiday.

Staying at Villa Valdemar does give an opportunity of having a very relaxing and worry free holidays as: The villa is extremely comfortable and well equipped. You are secure as the house is in an area where most of the properties are lived in by their owners. The villa has a games room for your entertainment and relaxation. Although you can walk to all amenities in the area, is recommended to hire a car. Most important, you will be dealing with the owner of the house, not an agency or tour operator, who just looks at you and your family as a number.
