Birchwood Lodge is a Finnish log chalet and is an idyllic retreat situated just above the banks of the stunning Loch Tay in the shadow of the Ben Lawers range of Munros. It's Scandinavian in design and benefits from an open plan living, dining and kitchen areas. The lounge has a ceramic floor with underfloor heating, with a comfortable leather corner couch, Sonos music system piped to Hot Tub, Sauna and living area, 32" LCD TV with SKY TV with sports and movies package, Wifi and a DVD player.
The dining area has an oak table and comfortable chairs for two and there is a small but well equipped kitchen. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed with oak double wardrobe and bedside table. The large sauna suite is tiled and has underfloor heating and a large shower wet room and separate WC. The sauna is 2m x 2m and has a soapstone sauna stove, making this the ultimate sauna experience.

This was our second time visiting Birchwood Lodge, just as relaxing as the first time. Sauna and jacuzzi amazing, especially when it's so cold outside, the perfect way to warm up. We've decided we're making it a yearly thing, wee break away from the stresses of day to day living. Would definitely recommend a stay at Birchwood. Marina x
“Brilliant everything you need wish for and more”
Birchwood lodge is a hidden gem, well equipped spotlessly clean and warm and cosy , whether canoeing on the loch using all the provided kit , sitting in the hot tub,or sauna , or simply walking round the lanes spotting the vast amount of wildlife, the cabin provides privacy , brilliant views , and the ideal get away , We will definitely be booking again very soon Steve and jo Osbaldeston MBE
“Beautiful loch Tay”
This was our 5th return to the lodge and it was just as fantastic as our first! Ali puts in every effort to ensure you have everything you need and we were even welcomed with a lovely bottle of wine and some tasty cakes! The lodge it's self it's beautiful and cosy and the surrounding area and scenery is breath taking! The hot tub is always enjoyable, but even more so in the snow. Kenmore has always held some very special memories for me since I was only knee high, but even more so after getting engaged up at the black rock on Drummond hill during our visit! We will be making many many returns and even plan to be married in kenmore! 5* must visit!!

“Birchwood Lodge....The Perfect Getaway!”
We stayed at Birchwood Lodge from 16-19th Sept 2016. It is a lovely cosy little hideaway for two. Very private, secluded and just lovely. We enjoyed everything about it, the hot tub, the canoe, the scenery etc were all outstanding. We would recommend it to anyone and will definitely be back.

“Relaxing, Peaceful Luxury....”
Loved our long weekend here. Was lovely and peaceful, accommodation and hot tub area was lovely and clean & well kept. Cabin itself was well stocked with kitchen utensils/pots/pans etc and tastefully decorated. Welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch :-) Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic, well equipped, clean lodge in an excellent location. Loch Tay is very picturesque and we thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. The hot tub and sauna were excellent after a day exploring. There are also some lovely restaurants in the area if you fancy a meal out. Thank you Alison the booking process was easy and you answered any questions I had promptly. We would have no hesitation in booking your lodge again and I will definitely be recommending to family and friends.

“Place of our dreams”
We visited birchwood on the last weekend of August and were met with glorious sunshine which luckily stayed with us for the whole weekend! The log cabin is lovely set just back from the loch and is so peaceful. We enioyed the small private beach area secluded from the wind we were able to sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful views across the loch. The facilities in the cabin were just perfect, it was our first experience of a hot tub and sauna and boy did we love them!! The double shower was also a nice touch! Everything for us was just perfect we both describe the whole experience as a dream as we saw some breathtaking views and lived a life of luxury for just a few days! Thanks to ali also for the wine biscuits and milk and all her communication, although we didnt meet her she made us feel very very welcome! Wed recommend this place to anyone its so relaxing and romantic and in a beautiful setting. We hope to be back at some point and for longer than 3 nights! Definately recommend 200%!

We stayed 4 nights and it was total paradise! Every possible pastime was accounted for with a selection of books/magazines, DVDs, Sky TV, hot tub, sauna, music, wi-fi and fantastic views. We were looking for total relaxation and this ticked every box and then some. What more could you ask for?!

Went further than our expectations. Made even more enjoyable by glorious weather. Had great fun in the canoe, relaxed in hot tub and made use of the sauna. Even the royal doulton tableware was 5*. Hope to be back soon

“Fantastic facilities, great value for money”
We stayed for 3 nights at the lodge and would have been happy to spend all our time there! The facilities are great, hot tub, sauna, wifi, full Sky TV package, and the lodge has everything you would need for a comfortable and luxurious stay. We have stayed at many other properties which were more expensive and less well appointed, would recommend for anybody.

- How do damage deposits work?
In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Alison (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
