Named after the nearby "Munro", Meall nan Tarmachan, Tarmachan is an end terraced lodge style property in a small exclusive development on the shores of Loch Tay and is designed to take best advantage of its spectacular hill and lochside location.

Furnished in a smart contemporary style with leather settees and quality oak furniture, Tarmachan's open plan first floor living space consists of a lounge area with comfortable seating, dining area with large oak table, plus a fully equipped kitchen. The focal point is undoubtedly the large picture window which leads out to the good sized balcony with quality outdoor furniture, allowing full enjoyment of the amazing highland scenery.

The house benefits from:

Internet access, TV, DVD player, radio/i-Pod docking station plus Wii game player, with a good selection of DVDs, books and traditional games. There is a washer/dryer in the separate utility room. “Highland Aromatics” toiletries are provided for guests' enjoyment.

The Loch Tay region

Under two hours from both Edinburgh and Glasgow airports, 1.5 hours from Dundee airport and about 2.5 hours from Aberdeen, Inverness and Prestwick airports. 30 minutes off the A9 leaving at the A827 turn off to Aberfeldy or travelling on the A827 from Killin about mid-way between Killin and Aberfeldy.

Fearnan

Situated on the edge of Loch Tay in the little hamlet of Fearnan, about equidistant between the small towns of Aberfeldy and Killin, Ben Lawers is surrounded by stunning mountain views and lochside scenery. The pretty conservation village of Fortingall, with its thatched cottages and hotel restaurant and bar, is within walking distance. Fortingall is also the home of the oldest living tree in Europe! The road up Glen Lyon, the longest glen in Scotland, is just a couple of miles from Fearnan.East of Fearnan at the head of Loch Tay, you will find the charming 16th century conservation village of Kenmore, which boasts an excellent selection of restaurants, bars and shops including The Courtyard Deli which will deliver to Shoreside. This popular village also offers many sporting activities which include 2 golf courses, water sports, horse riding and cycling as well as a lovely sandy beach and the very interesting Crannog Centre.The small town of Aberfeldy is only 10 miles away and has a full range of shops, banks, medical centre, garage for fuel and servicing, dentist, Post Office and the new Breadalbane Community Campus which houses a library, indoor swimming pool, gym, climbing wall and many other great facilities.
