Ninho do Amor or Love Nest is a cosy and comfortable detached garden cottage of a country villa with a pool. It is a perfect holiday getaway to relax and unwind under all year around sunshine and unpolluted blue skies.

A rural and peaceful setting at the end of a winding country lane, an elevated location with sweeping coastal sea views overlooking the towns from Faro to Tavira and offshore islands that beckon with endless sun-drenched beaches, easily accessed by either water taxis or small ferries docking below in Olhao or Fuseta only 10 minutes away.

A secure area with local village markets, festivals and affordable restaurants just minutes away.

There are also lovely views of the mountains with many trails ideal for fresh air walks, hikes or mountain biking for all levels of fitness, or just unwind and soak up the sun.

Faro airport is 20 minutes away and easy access to the A22 motorway brings all of the Algarve's entertainments, sport activities and even Spain all within a 30minute drive.


The cottage is detached back to back across a shared rear courtyard from the main home Casa Lami.

The property being on variable sloping land care has been taken to avoid riser steps making it ideal for elderly or infirm to negotiate the whole property.

The pool has no overlooking villas and is located at the front of our main bungalow house, and guests always have own separate easy access.

Please note it is NOT A SHARED POOL at all, as the owners are a long-retired couple with a lifetime under an African sun and NEVER USE THE POOL.


An ample lounge area with comfortable IKEA seating with open plan archway to the bedroom with Emperor size double bed with luxury "memory foam" mattress Topper and ironed all cotton bedlinen. An ensuite bathroom with shower, basin, toilet and crisp sundried cotton towels.

Another archway links the lounge to a breakfast bar and a fully equipped self-catering kitchenette plus all usual expendables down to table serviettes all inclusive. A welcome pack of wine, beer and some fridge essentials is provided to set your holiday off to a good start

The cottage is on ceramic floor tiles with scatter rugs, air conditioning, extra cooling fans and electric heaters.

Free unlimited internet / Smart TV / Netflix / Satellite BBC free view channels / Music CD player plus a Bluetooth JBL speaker. A small wine bar with compliments of the house.

A free local calls Mobile phone to remain in contact with owner management, also recommended as a handy take along mobile for standby advice to make sure our guests have a care free holiday.


A weekly cleaning service, a full change of linen, fresh cotton bath towels and pool/beach towels are provided.


The preferred changeover is Saturday, but we are flexible wherever dates fit in reasonably with other bookings. For cleaning please check-in 2pm and check-out 10am however, whenever possible we gladly adjust for differing flights times.


The property is on 3800sq meters of elevated private rural land overlooking some scattered villas below, it is securely fenced-in with an automated entrance gate and driveway to a safe undercover shared carport, mature garden with grass lawns and cool tall palm trees.

The pool in front of the main house is 'L' shaped 24mts square area, ranges from 1.2 to 1.9m deep.

The Cottage has own separate garden with adjacent gazebo for alfresco dining and own floodlit Boule court and barbecue areas.

A new separate elevated panoramic upper sundeck terrace, very private for a sizzling total tan with handy cool-off shower. Or take the sanitized freshly filled Jacuzzi spa tub for 2 persons bubbling alfresco under starry skies. Or just laze away in a shady hammock with more stunning coastal views.


The cottage is owner managed, they have over 18 years’ experience in renting out their holiday properties. Their guest´s SAFETY, PRIVACY, SECURITY is most important to them and knowing holidays are the most precious times of all, special care is taken to ensure a care free holiday.


Being an approved and licensed holiday property, the cottage is inspected and conforms to comfort and safety standards.


Although the Love Nest is detached but situated in proximity with the owners’ main house, our guest’s privacy remains paramount.


The LOVE NEST is managed as a holiday cottage by the owners, a retired couple from South Africa. They have another 2 holiday properties completely private with own pool; please refer to Villa Monte Fava and to Villa Monte Mar

All 3 properties are approved and licensed for holiday lodgings. The owners love the Algarve and, knowing holidays are precious to us all, they are keen to furnish more information or advice so that you may make a happy choice and maybe return year after year.

They speak English, German and Zulu, some Portuguese and follow Flemish/Dutch

How do damage deposits work?

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Karl and Daphne (the owner) a message.

If Karl and Daphne (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
