We provide infant cots, playpens, highchairs and car seats. The villa is tastefully appointed with antique colonial furnishings and local art.Two luxury suites, in a separate annexe, occupy a complete floor has a spacious living room, bedroom, mini pantry, dressing area, bathroom and shower recess.All rooms open onto sweeping verandahs overlooking the sea at the end of the property.Conveniences include a washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities on request. There is a TV, DVD player and music system in the villa and in each suite. There is wireless internet access throughout the property. There is an intercom system connecting all parts of the property. The office has a telephone, fax and printer.
Our staff of 7, led by our ever-smiling manager, Ranjan, will make sure you are taken care of in a manner beyond 5 star. Our kitchen staff will prepare the most delectable Sri Lankan meals. Our kitchen also serves a wide variety of Western and other Asian cuisines. You can dine in the gazebo, on your private verandah or under the stars on the beach with the waves lapping by your table. Watch the fishermen bring in the morning catch or cast out to sea in the evening, hear the chatter of the parakeets flocking to roost in our coconut trees and watch the evening sky blaze in brilliant tropical sunsets.The little fishing town of Ambalangoda, where Max Wadiya is located, is well known for its mask-making, devil dancing and antique furniture. The town has supermarkets, banks, a fisheries harbour, fresh produce markets and a train and bus station connecting you to all parts of the island.Water sports are available a short ride away and the resort towns of Bentota and Hikkeduwa, with their bars and restaurants are close by.
We can arrange airport transfers, transport and trips to all parts of the island.Max Wadiya is increasingly moving towards a "green" environment with solar panels for water heating, energy saving bulbs, a water harvesting tank, a recycling system and a compost box. Whenever possible we purchase organically grown fresh produce and poultry.In recent years giant sea turtles have come up onto our beach to lay their eggs and we have been working with the local fishermen to protect them from two-legged or feathered predators until they hatch and the baby turtles are guided safely back into the sea.
