In the beautiful Chianti region, 18 kilometers from the center of Florence, Raffiacane is a traditional farmhouse standing at one end of 6 hectares of olive grove and vineyard on a hill overlooking the Pesa river, a tributary of the River Arno. The abandoned farm and buildings were restored in the 1970 's.
Recently, one section of the farmhouse has been remodeled as a vacation apartment. With a private entrance and patio, 50 square meters (530 square feet) are divided into a large bedroom, a bathroom and a fully equipped, live-in kitchen.
Florence is roughly halfway between Rome and Milan, about 3 hours from either city, on the f-1 (E-80). Raffiacane is convenient for any number of day-trips around Tuscany. Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca and Arezzo are all close. The sea is an hour away to the west, the mountains an hour to the north. Nearby are a riding stable, a public swimming pool and tennis courts.
