The Space
This lovely recently renovated, fully independent house of character was built around 200 years ago.
Designed with style, the house has been carefully restored and is decorated with designer pieces which blend well with the old and contemporary mix that this house offers.
This charming home's design and conversion has been entrusted to top-notch interior designers. It is set on three floors, features very high ceilings with exposed stonework and beams in some of the older rooms and is embellished with two delightful cellars restored with care. The superbly designed upper level gives the house a sophisticated and modern touch which blends harmoniously with the rest of the house.
The house has very large living quarters leading to the terraces that feature a deck area (with 8 sunbeds and BBQ) and an edge pool (5m x 3m), enjoying fantastic views. The house has 4 private terraces. There are 4 bedrooms (i.e. sleeps 8) and 3 bathrooms.
This cliff-edge house situated in the charming old village of Xaghra has breath-taking sea (Ramla bay) and country views.
The fully equipped kitchen features a built-in fridge-freezer, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, electric kettle, pots, pans and kitchen utensils. The house has Satellite TV, a DVD player, a separate sound system for the deck area, Wi-Fi, a washing machine and is fully air-conditioned (cooling/heating functions). On request, a baby cot may be provided.
Clean linen and towels will be provided.
On request, we may provide you with beach towels at no extra charge.
The house is situated in Xaghra, which is one of the loveliest villages in Gozo. The area know as Ta' Gajdoru is charming and scenic.
Location
You're in one of the most picturesque villages of Gozo and by car you're:
- 2 mins away from the main village square (where you can find various restaurants and bars/cafes);
- 5 mins away from Ramla Bay;
- 7 mins away from Victoria and its citadel (Gozo's capital);
- 15 mins away from Mgarr (boats to Comino and the ferry to Malta).
Xaghra boasts a number of interesting historical sites including Ggantija Temples, Calypso's cave, the Plague's hospital, Xerri's and Ninu's Grottos, Ta' Kola Windmill, the Museum of Toys, Santa Verna Temple and other prehistoric sites and a number of old churches/chapels (one of which dates back to 1520).
Xaghra is built on a hill and is situated in the north-east of the island of Gozo. It lies just under four kilometres from Victoria, Gozo's capital, and is aptly described as the village of the goddess and the Madonna. Xaghra was one of the earliest inhabited areas of Gozo.
There is a bus stop 3 mins away from the house (on foot). From there, you can catch buses to Mgarr and Victoria. Most tourists visiting Gozo prefer to rent a car, though.

House Rules:
- no smoking indoors;
- no pets;
- respect the neighbours; - Pool area - Guests are requested to follow the rules and policies indicated in the guest manual;
- for check-in after 8pm, a one-time extra fee of €10 is charged. If you will be arriving in Xaghra after 12am (midnight), please advise us before making a booking request;
- The air-conditioning is to be used in an Eco-Friendly manner. Kindly remember to switch it off when you are not in the house, whenyou are using the outdoor areas and when you are not using that particular room (i.e. bedrooms during the day and living area during the night);
- Water and electricity are to be turned off when not being used. Water and electricity consumption will be covered up to 70 units per week (or pro rata) which constitutes normal consumption and which, with careful use, should be sufficient. Consumption in excess of this amount will be subject to a charge.
