Renovated Farmhouse in relaxing countryside with one of the biggest pools in Dordogne, shared with the two other letting houses which are set around a vast courtyard, just a fifteen minute walk from Excideuil with its excellent bakers, restaurants, ancient streets, castle and colourful market. Just outside the main tourist area, so forget traffic jams and crowded shops! The Farmhouse is available either on its own, or together with the Gatehouse and/or the Dovecote for up to a total of 18 people. Both the Farmhouse and the Gatehouse have three large bedrooms and cool sitting rooms. The Dovecote has a double bedroom in the pigeon loft and a twin bedroom downstairs. TV (English only). Park like gardens leading to the magnificent 15m swimming pool (shared). Lounge here all day in the sun, or be busy visiting all the historic sights nearby: - Lascaux caves, Jumilhac and Hautefort chateaux, picturesque Brantome and fascinating Perigueux with its summer evening Jazz concerts. Golf 5 mins! 15 mins to lake with beach, boats, waterskiing or wakeboarding. Try Quad biking or Paintball, Canoeing and Horse riding, or see dungeons and war machines at Beynac and Castelnaud chateaux. There is something for everyone, young or old! Tabary is great for families!

Try our nearest restaurant lunch - five courses including wine at 13€. Colourful local markets and fetes. Beautiful countryside, stunning chateaux, ideal walking cycling and horse riding, pretty villages and prehistoric caves. Historic towns of Brantome, Perigueux and Bergerac. St Jean de Cole - one of the prettiest villages in France.Pompadour with its Chateau, horse races and national stables nearby. Romanesque churches and the famous Pilgrims' Way to Santiago de Compostela. Canoe and fish the rivers Loue and Auvezere. Rouffiac lake with beach and water sports including cable water sking and wakeboarding. Golf 4km, Tree walking, Paintball and Quad bikes are new additions to the things to do list, and the local fetes are always good value entertainment. Trains from Thiviers to Bordeaux and Limoges. Ideal base for house hunting and exploring Dordogne and Limousin.

20 acres of gardens and woods to roam and everyone loves the magnificent Swimming pool 15 x 7m set in its own hedged garden with poolside furniture, verandah and vast stone BarBQ. The pool temperature is normally 23°C - 28°C throughout July and August. Play table-tennis in the barn (two tables) and Boules in the courtyard while enjoying that evening drink! Golf only 4km. Mountain bikes available from excellent local hire business. Easy walk to market, shops, bakers and restaurants. Lovely country and riverside walks on the doorstep!

Interaction with guest

We live here all year round and will welcome you personally on your arrival and show you the property. Weekly lettings include all bedding and towels for no extra charge and the beds are made up ready for your arrival. We do not bother our guests during their stay but we are always available for any help or advice needed and of course to help fix those annoying little problems like dripping taps that crop up from time to time. We love children, having had plenty of experience bringing up our own, and friendly dogs are also very welcome at Tabary.

How do damage deposits work?

If Richard (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
