“Outstanding accommodation beautifully appointed and conveniently situated”

Reviewed 21 Sep 2016

This property surpassed all expectations in terms of location, comfort, facilities and cleanliness. We have lived in France for 16 years and came back to Cornwall to visit family, friends and old haunts and needed accommodation to give our extended family comfort during the stay - we were not disappointed. On arrival, our first impression of Falmouth after so many years absent was the parking situation; with almost every available roadside space permanently occupied we were worried about what we would do with two large cars. Our fears were allayed when we saw the size of the double garage, plenty of room for our two vehicles and room to spare. The location of the Captain's House permitted us a short walk into town where there is almost every type of restaurant you could wish for, shops galore and lots of entertainment. If you want more, the county town of Truro is less than a 30 minute drive (avoid rush hours). Other attractions around Cornwall are also within 60 minutes driving, we visited The Eden Project, Paradise Park, St Michael's Mount, Penzance and many places in between. The accommodation in the Captain's House is spacious, well appointed, clean and, above all, the beds are very comfortable making this rental THE best we have ever experienced and would recommend to anyone. If I won the Euro Millions, I would make Carol an offer to buy she couldn't refuse!
