20 Jan 2015 – "Beautiful views, cosy apartment"
My husband and I had a lovely stay in this apartment while we looked for a home in Falmouth and think it would be even better in the summer. Two of our friends joined us, and it was perfectly comfortable for 4 adults. The owners are also extremely accommodating. We have to go back to Cornwall in a few weeks as we sadly have not found anywhere to live yet, and would gladly stay here again.

19 Jan 2015 – "WARM, COSY, VERYCENTRAL"
Had a wonderful stay.I would recommend this aIApartment to anyone. It was very clean and contained everything we needed during our stay.… more.

11 Dec 2014 – "cute apartment"
well appointed apartment with fabulous views over the harbour
perfect in every way - we collected our daughter from the University and decided to make a short break -we stayed 3 nights
weather was good so we walked the coastal path from Helford Passage back into Falmouth
The kitchen area was ideal we cooked 2 nights and ate out at Olivers the other evening-we had a fabulous evening there the food was excellent
Thank you we will return

17 Nov 2014 – "A great apartment"
We booked this apartment for a long weekend to visit my son at uni. We found the Sea Escape beautifully furnished, clean and warm with lovely views across to the harbour. The telescope is a lovely touch and we enjoyed gazing at the moon as well as the navy vessel moored up. The apartment is in a perfect location right behind the High Street - There are many slips and sets of steps that descend down to the main street so it may not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues.
Lots of choices for cafes and restaurants around, also a supermarket for supplies just a 2 min walk. The one car parking space is very tight, particularly for a large car. Would come again.

22 Jul 2014 – "Nice apartment, centrally located"
We spent two weeks here in July and found it to be modern, clean and well equipped. After a long journey, the welcome tray was great (lovely scones), a nice touch. The apartment is very central, being just a couple of minutes walk from the main high street where the shops, cafes and restaurants are.

I can't really fault anything - the only thing to bear in mind is the same for all properties of this type, you can get noise from your neighbours (as we did one night, but it was only one night out of fourteen), and as it is so central, you may sometimes hear people enjoying themselves in town.

The balcony offers nice views of the sea and beyond, and the owner also provides a telescope!

We really enjoyed Falmouth, and found it to be a great base to explore but also enough things to do locally that we didn't use the car sometimes for a couple of days. If you have little ones (and even if you don't) the Maritime museum is brilliant (your ticket is also valid for 12 months, come and go as you please), the lifeboat station is also great, as are the beaches, although not really walkable from Sea Escape. Maenporth, just a mile or two along the coast is lovely and you get to park on the beach for £2 a day.

We'd stay here again and recommend it.

16 Mar 2014 – "Well-equipped apartment in a great location with lovely views"
This well-equipped flat was a perfect place for us to stay whilst visiting our son at the nearby university. The welcome tea tray was especially appreciated after a 7-hour drive, and the milk in the fridge was a thoughtful touch.
The directions to reach the flat were well explained and it is very well situated, close to the shops with great views over the harbour. We loved the telescope!
The flat is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a relaxing family break.
We will certainly be back!

5 Mar 2014 – "Wonderful stay in a beautiful & well appointed apartment."
We arrived at 10pm on a wet & windy night. Entry instructions very clear & saved a lot of hassle. The biscuits in the welcome pack (tea, coffee & milk too) were eaten not long arrival. A nice touch. Beautifully appointed apartment - just perfect for 3 adults. Lovely & close to town & theharbour & a short stroll to the nearest beach. No time for shopping as we had come to see the newest arrival to the family but town itself is full of lovely independent shops.
I would say that I have high expectations of the places I choose to stay in & happily pay extra for quality. I would happily stay here again & I would have no hesitation in recommending Sea Escapes. Great value too.

Location description from manager

The England region

Did you know that Cornwall was recently voted by people from all over Britain, the UK's best holiday destination at the British Travel Awards? And its not difficult to see why. A varied landscape, that contains dramatic cliffs and pounding surf along the north coast and hidden coves, hamlets and estuaries to the south, historic villages, a thriving local food and art scene, exotic gardens, wonderful sailing, surfing and rock pooling, a sense of history and community, all of which combines to offer the visitor a real sense of escape and well being.

What's more, Falmouth is perfectly positioned to sample all of these things.

Gardens like Trebah, Glendurgan and Trelissick and idyllic waterside villages such as St Mawes and Helford, are literally on the doorstep and can be visited on a memorable boat trip from Falmouth. Must see Cornish events, destinations and attractions such as Culdrose Air Day, Royal Cornwall Show, Daphne de Maurier Festival, St Ives, Truro, Padstow, the Minack Theatre or the Eden Project are all under an hour away, either by car, train, bus or boat.

Falmouth

Falmouth has been shaped and influenced by its strong connection to the sea. A fascinating maritime heritage sits comfortably alongside the creative, building a name for itself as the South West's cultural and festival destination. Beaches, castles, museums, galleries, parks, boat trips, rock pooling and ice creams. And that's just the first day of your holiday in Falmouth!

Falmouth is an engaging and fun base for all the family, with many of Cornwall's top attractions, beaches, walks and villages on the doorstep.

There are some terrific family friendly beaches with Castle Beach being the most northerly of all the Falmouth beaches, situated alongside Pendennis point. Rocky sections mean that at low tide it is regarded as an excellent beach for rock pooling as well as diving and snorkeling. As you walk way from the Pendennis Point end of the beach, rockpools give way to golden sand as the beach joins Tunnel Beach. Castle Beach Cafe provides hot and cold drinks, ice creams, pasties & light meals. There is a large sundeck area, together with a timber framed canopy with tables and chairs. The shop sells beach balls, buckets and spades and also provides deck chair hire. Further along Gyllyngvase Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Falmouth being a Blue Flag status beach, with its wide arc of golden sand and inviting sea. Great amenities, with award winning cafe, yet still only a 10 minute walk away from Falmouth town centre. Gylly Beach Cafe is built over the beach and offers fantastic views from its sun drenched terrace and is open all year round. The Cafe prides itself on using herever possible, local produce and best environmental practice. Perfect place for a romantic meal or a family gathering by the beach.

Gyllyngvase Beach is also linked via the South West Coast Path to Swanpool Beach and Nature Reserve. This is a delightful cove with adjoining Swanpool Lake Nature Reserve being a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Excellent water sport centre where you can try your hand at dinghy sailing, kayaking or windsurfing. Bouncy castle located on the beach during the summer months for the smaller children. The Award winning Swanpool Beach Cafe serves a great selection of teas, coffees, sandwiches and ice-creams whilst Elemantal UK Watersports school is based at Swanpool beach and operates all year round catering for groups large and small, teaching and offering for hire: sailing, kayaking, canoeing, coasteering lessons & raft building.

Equally, there are some lovely parks and gardens in Falmouth, perfect for a stroll or picnic. include Gyllyngvase Gardens, Fox Rosehill Gardens, Queen Mary Gardens & the 7 acre estate of Kimberley Park.

Events and festivals are held throughout the year in Falmouth & you will find current tourist information at the apartment.
