The stairs from the ground floor rise to reveal a spectacular open plan living area with numerous windows all of which enjoy views across Falmouth Bay. 2 large sofas provide a relaxed seating area at the heart of the apartment, while the huge window sheet with cushions is a great place to relax with a book or simply watch the comings and goings of the harbour. A flat screen and WiFi are here at your disposal should you decide to spend an evening away from the temptation of Falmouth's restaurants and bars.

The kitchen area of the Penthouse echoes the fresh feel of the rest of this lovely apartment. The owners have equipped it to a high standard, providing an integrated dishwasher, fridge and washer/dryer. A wooden dining table with six chairs completes the sleek, contemporary look of this room.

Perhaps the stand-out feature of is the central balcony which overlooks the harbour and offers mesmerising views of the scenes on the water beyond.

Guests are advised that this is a second floor apartment accessed via a stairway and is therefore unsuitable for those with restricted mobility. The convenient town centre location does mean that it is inevitable that some background noise will be audible. We regret that we are unable to accommodate children under 16 years of age at this property.

Falmouth's wealth of water sports activities, historical and cultural jewels, restaurants and boutiques are just a short stroll from this fabulous apartment and the rest of this glorious county can be easily explored by ferry or by car – an allocated parking space is provided

“Take some ear plugs if you stay here!”

Reviewed 5 Aug 2016

The Pier Apartment (no. 14) Falmouth July 16. The Apartment does have lovely views however, we were glad to get home for some sleep after staying there for a week. In the description it states “The convenient town centre location does mean that on occasion, some background noise may be audible”. This was a HUGE understatement! I never realised that there were so many pubs and fast food outlets in the vicinity open until the early hours of the morning. On our first night we went to bed around 10.30 thinking that the noise (people outside the Prince of Wales drinking and talking) would reduce after 11pm, as we assumed that was closing time. At 11 pm the LIVE MUSIC started. I looked on their web site and Friday & Saturday is live music from 11, with Karaoke and jamming on other nights. They were open until 1 am every day, even on Sunday. People were still outside at 3 am and when a heated argument had been going on for some time, the police arrived. On several nights there were deliveries made to the shops below at 11.30 pm, with lorries parked directly under our window or at the end of the pier. They were wheeling metal trollies into somewhere below us which were rattling like mad. As the electronic gate was open for the duration, there was a constant “beep, beep, beep” going all the time which drove us insane. We were exhausted after a week of this. I appreciate that there is nothing that the owners can do about most of this noise (other than get the licensing hours reduced back to 11pm) but it should be noted that it is a lot more major than “background”. We were exhausted after a week of this. There are allocated parking spaces marked by painted numbers on the ground. When someone parked in our space I text the agent and the reply was “block them in”! Not helpful. We had to pay to park in Church Street car park for the night. The en suite bedroom did not have a towel rail or even hooks for towels in the bathroom. There was a double hook on the back of the bedroom door but towels don’t dry when they are not spread out. The other bathroom had a heated towel rail but we were sharing with another couple and there would not have been room for 4 towels anyway. It isn’t mentioned in the itinerary but we were surprised that there was no microwave? Very odd, quite a basic requirement these days. I would have given this as 4 if it hadn't been for the noise.
