Description from owner
Wool Cottage is located in the Cotswold market town of Fairford. It has just been beautifully restored to a high standard and is now a charming self catering retreat. The downstairs area is spacious and light and most importantly - comfortable and welcoming. Upstairs has two bedrooms both with ensuite and an extra small single in one of the rooms. The terrace outside the french windows has sunshine throughout the day and the view from the front of the cottage overlooks the beautiful and ever changing water meadows alongside the River Coln. Fairford market place is a 100 yard walk and offers plenty of amenities, in fact you need never get in your car for the whole of your stay. Famous for its 15th Century stained glass windows in the church, the town offers places to eat and shop for groceries with a market every Wednesday. There are a number of beautiful walks around the town and plenty more within a 2 mile drive. We also provide bicycle storage for those more adventurous types

Little gems can be found around each corner with something for everybody. Walks and cycle routes abound for those who want to get away from the crowds, whilst those who like the shops and a bit of history will enjoy the many picturesque towns and villages. “Beautiful cottage, great location”
Wool Cottage is a charming renovation, providing well-appointed accommodation. Each bedroom has an en suite, which worked well for us - my mother was in her own room and I shared the other with my three-year old son. He loved having his own special bed, too. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio with a glass of wine! We were close enough to Fairford for easy shopping and parking. Catherine and family were very friendly and welcoming. All in all, a very relaxing break.
“Charming cottage, beautiful interiors and a fabulous setting”
We had the most delightful weekend at Wool Cottage. The cottage has been beautifully furnished and every possible need has been catered for. Catherine is a fabulous host and was happy to offer advice on places to go and things to see in the local area. Her breakfast in a box is a brilliant idea - we felt like we were in a boutique B&B! Nearby there are great walks and bike rides, and a whole host of Cotswold country pubs to choose from. A brilliant weekend away.
