From the owner

The detached cottage is set in the grounds of the owners 7 hectares of land and is independent from the owners house. It has the usual facilities with 3 double bedrooms. There is a patio for exclusive use of tenants beside the cottage and a private area of garden (with BBQ) at the rear of the cottage. There are lovely views from the cottage and garden down the valley overlooking woods and farmland. Cottage guests have priority use of the 29 meter long swimming pool that has beautiful views down a valley - please check the photos. The owners, Mike & Caroline, may use it when you are out and about! We don't recommend the property for families with very young children as there are steep drops around the property. We also have 2 friendly dogs (and a Maine-Coon cat) so anybody who doesn't like or isn't used to dogs would be better off looking elsewhere! The cottage is less than 1.5 kms from the local bastide / village of Eymet which has numerous restaurants, bars and good shopping facilities. Bergerac, situated on the Dordogne, is 25 minutes away and flights are available to the airport which is served by Ryan Air and BA from various airports within the UK.

The owners (Mike and Caroline) are always available to help, including making any telephone bookings if you struggle with French or to suggest activities during your stay. The dogs are also permanently available for you to take on walks around the grounds!

Why can't I call Michael (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Michael (the owner) a message.

If Michael (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
