The rest of the grounds, approximately 2000 sq meters, lend themselves to a gentle game of boules or croquet!

Location description from owner

The Dordogne region

The Dordogne region is renowned for its Chateaux, vineyards and breathtaking landscapes. Bordeaux lies just to the west, and apart from the city itself, it offers some of the most beautiful beaches. Approximately 1.5 hrs from Eymet. The climate is ideal, long, hot sunny days and warm balmy nights.

Eymet

Bergerac is an historic town with a wealth or charming cobbled streets and interesting antiques and curiosity shops. It lies on the banks of the river Dordogne and along with Eymet and most of the other market towns, plays host to a weekly market, frequented by tourists and locals alike. Here you can buy fresh fish, flowers, bread, foie gras, fruit as well as jewellery, clothes and shoes!

Truly a market which caters for everyone's needs. In the season, Eymet also holds a night market which has a wonderful atmosphere. Moules frites are on offer, as well as a barbecue and the evening takes on a carnival atmosphere. More of a social evening than a shopping expedition.

In addition, there are several local golf courses, tennis courts, cycle and canoe hire for the more energetic!

“Small piece of heaven, thoroughly recommend.”

Reviewed 31 Mar 2014

Have stayed at Fraysse several times over the last few years and always had the most pleasant stay. This property is one in a million and done up to a very high standard - you don't feel like you are in a holiday rental but a home from home. Would come back time and time again. The outdoor pool makes for a refreshing dip on the hot days (of which there are normally many in summer/late summer) and dining outside on the terrace is great too. Fraysee does not leave you wanting for attention to detail, luxury bedding and all of the typically French touches. Recommend an evening walk down to the square for drinks outside, followed by dinner at La Cour d'Eymet where the service is second to none, the food delicious and locally sourced/made where possible. Easy to find by car and only a short drive from Bergerac airport or a little bit further but still accessible from Bordeaux. Recommend that you hire a car to get the most out of the location but there are still bars and convenience shops in walking distance.
