“Excellent house for a group of friends”
Booked St Kilda for a group of 10 (all in late 20s) and couldn't have found a better place. The house was very easy to find, in a lovely village and accessible for both Edinburgh and the Northumbrian Coast. The house itself was the perfect size, with a large dining kitchen with doors opening onto the back garden and the views across the field, which was the ideal spot for socialising. Particular highlight was the garage with second fridge, table tennis and table football tables, where a lot of time was spent. Mary Clare was very helpful in the lead up to our stay and there were nice, personal touches throughout, such as a welcome basket (with crisps and wnie - very much appreciated) and extra toiletries in case anyone forgot anything. This is a trip that this group makes reasonably frequently and we would definitely return to St Kilda.
“Top Notch Holiday Home!”
We had a fantastic weekend stay at St Kilda celebrating a special birthday. Our group included young children and a dog. The holiday house had everything we could need and more. The kind welcome baskets for us and the dog where lovely and very thoughtful. The local pub is good for food. Highly recommend this property.

“Exceeded all of our expectations - no hesitation in recommending”
We were a group of 8 woman getting together for my 40th birthday. Our only request was to indulge in comfort to have a girls weekend. The photos shown of the St Kilda house do not do the property justice. It certainly exceeded all of our expectations and can cater for the needs of couples, groups and families. It is incredibly spacious and has every item required to be home from home. We ate out at the Craw Inn on the Friday evening, (reservations were made prior to our arrival) the staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent! On the Saturday we made full use of the dining facilities at St Kilda to have an indulgent buffet and a few drinks in the garden. A perfect weekend for us all, we didn't even need to take an iPod dock as there was one in the dining kitchen. Again, I can't stress enough how spacious the property is, and it is furnished to a very high standard. We have already booked up for later in the year and again for next year.

“A superb family holiday home in The Borders”
The website is very good - but you have to visit St Kilda to really appreciate the facilities on offer. The views from every angle are stunning - and the village setting is charming and relaxing. You are in the middle of "lots-to-do" attractions, and a week is not long enough to manage all of them. The house is extremely comfortable, very spacious, and really well-equipped. and the owners are very helpful in making arrangements - so-much-so we have booked again for Easter 2014. Can't wait!! One of the best holiday properties we have stayed in over the past 13 years!!
“A great base for a family holiday”
The property met all expectations, clean and well appointed. We felt at home immediately. The welcome pack was an unexpected surprise but much appreciated by all! Toys and games for all ages and in good condition. Slight problem with the hot water however, our problem was attended to quickly and it was resolved efficiently. Spacious accomodation with several communal rooms which is an asset when holidaying in a large group. A quiet village but central postion for visiting both coast and countryside. Highly recommended.

We stayed at St Kilda for 2 nights, a group of couples for a birthday celebration. St Kilda is of very high standard, exceeded our expectations!! Very large, games room within garage area. Open-plan kitchen and dining area with access to outside. The real fire was so cosy, the home is extremely clean. The views from the back doors/garden area were amazing, fields galore and a beautiful horse galloping around in one of the fields as an added bonus. Josef and Mary-Clare were a pleasure to deal with, beyond helpful... left us a kind welcome pack and also have a handy honestly box with spare toothbrushes/shampoo etc. We went to The Craw Inn which was a two minute walk from St Kilda, for our dinner and the local staff and people were very welcoming. Will be booking another trip to St Kilda for our next gathering... Thank you very much for a weekend to remember!
“Beautiful, spacious house”
We had a fab week at St Kilda. The house was gorgeous and much bigger than we expected, easily and comfortably accommodating the 6 adults and 6 children in our party. The house was spotless and well equipped. The kitchen is huge, making it our favourite place to sit any time of the day. The triple room and lounge upstairs was great for the kids with Sky TV, DVD's and a playstation. Auchencrow is a very small village, but there's plenty to do in the surrounding areas. We would definatley stay again.
“Lovely house, Lovely area and great people to rent from”
This is a great house in a lovely scenic area. I went with a large group of friends including a little one, we all loved it. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans cutlery and plates. The wifi was very useful and the wood burning fire was great to cozy down next to in an evening. All my dealings with the owners were smooth and very friendly. And if you do choose to visit and you get a clear night I would highly recommend grabbing a coat and having a look up at the night sky. Once again had a great time and would highly recommend it to anyone.
