Our little green hut is nestled in a quiet little corner of our large garden in the Peak District in the historic village of Eyam famous for the plague. With beautiful views of the hills in one direction & over looking the village & church in the other, our hut is away from the hustle & bustle of every day life where we offer shortbreaks & stays with a difference including breakfast hamper with locally sourced produce. There are no fancy gadgets here, just the peace & quiet of the countryside with a litle bit of luxury.

Our hut sleeps 2, a perfect romantic retreat or a base for walking, climbing & exploring the beautiful Peak District. Ideal for a special occassion or as a surprise for that speacial someone in your life. A perfect retreat where we encourage & help you to create those lasting memories.

There is everything you will need for that special & unique holiday experience. Painted in heritage Farrow & Ball colours, there is a full sized double bed with sprung mattress & goose down duvet to ensure that perfect nights sleep. Towels & bed linen are included. Under bed storage helps keep the hut calm & clutter free whilst the wood burning stove will keep you toasty warm. The only concession to technology is the DAB radiio, the perfect way to while away a lazy afternoon, & ofcourse wine glasses & corkscrew, an absolute necessity. There is a vintage fold out table plus chairs for eating breakfast at or outside on the picnic bench in the sunshine enjoying the views. Outside, we have a treehouse deck & a fire pit to huddle round & star gaze on a clear night whilst enjoying a glass of wine, beer or something warmer.

We have a fully heated shower/utility room for your use just a short walk (30m) up our garden, alongside the house, with hot water, sink, electric shower, toilet & heated towel rail as well as kettle, crockery, cutlery & fridge. Tea, coffee & milk is provided throughout your stay.

Why can't I call Rachel (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Rachel (the owner) a message.

If Rachel (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
