From the owner

A character 2 bedroom cottage in the heart of Eyam, with views of the surrounding countryside. Formerly a mill, parts of the cottage date back to the 1700’s. A perfect base for those wishing to explore the Peak District, with walks from the front door.

The cottage is full of character with exposed stone walls, an open fire and some low ceilings (be prepared to duck every now and again). The 2 bedrooms provide flexible sleeping arrangements with a twin bedroom and a king sized bed which can be split into 2 small singles upon request. The cottage also has a fully equiped kitchen/diner and cosy living space. Perfect for both summer and winter breaks.

Outdoor space is available at the front and rear of the property. There is no off road parking, but parking is generally easy to find on the road outside the property.

Dogs are welcome at the property, and the majority of the pubs and restaurants in the village itself.

Whilst children are welcome in the cottage, it is worth noting that there are a number of small staircases in the property.

In addition to our usual restrictions we request that you do not move any seating to the front garden. Our neighbours only have outdoor space in their front gardens, and have requested that to enable social distancing, guests at Rowan Cottage only use the rear courtyard.

Why can't I call Cheryl (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Cheryl (the owner) a message.

If Cheryl (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
