New listing Charming, very clean 2 bedroom detached house with loft room, sleeping up to 7 guests, situated in a quiet area of Exmouth. It is a 20-30 minute walk or 5-10 minute drive (2 miles) to sandy beaches and the property is convenient for local amenities. King size bed, double bed, single bed and double sofa bed. Private gardens and ample car parking (Small boat/Motorhome). BBQ & outdoor seating. Lounge seating is for 5 however, 2 further seats available by way of 2 low wicker rocking chairs. There is also a sofa bed in the dining room. Stair gate in situ in order that young children are unable to access the loft room without an adults supervision. Ground floor w/c. High chair, pram and toddlers jogging trike available upon request, small selection of dvd's & books. Freeview TV, wifi & broadband, DVD, washing machine and fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher. Bed linen and towels included and can be refreshed for longer stays. Welcome pack also available. Discounts available to serving and former Royal Marine personnel, their families, including recruits and their families. Short stays also welcome. There is strictly no smoking at the property and no pets, this is for the comfort of all our guests.. Crealy 15 mins by car, Exeter city 20 mins by car. On the bus route and 20 minute walk to railway station. Also close to cycle routes, bicycles could also be made available on request.

The Devon region

Exmouth, is a port town, civil parish and seaside resort in East Devon, England sited on the east bank of the mouth of the River Exe. Local attractions include, the River Exe, the Exe Estuary, A La Ronde, Powderham Castle, East Devon Way, fabulous sandy beach, Crealy Adventure Park and The World of Country Life.


The 'White House' is situated in a quite residential area close to many local amenities.

Withycombe village area is a 10 minute walk and has 2 pubs, shops, Fish and chips and a chinese takeaway.

A 10 minute walk the opposite way takes you to a very popular local eating pub/restaurant, more shops and an Indian takeaway.

The 2 large supermarkets are a 5 minute drive away.

For the energetic:

Woodbury Common provides some lovely walks on well marked tracks with distant see views and an abundance of wildlife and the occasional Royal Marine covered in mud!

A recent addition to Exmouth is the new cycle track with its breath taking veiws along the estuary through the pretty village of Lympstone (with numerous pubs) up to the upmarket town of Topsham, a very pleasant day out.

"A fantastic well equipped, perfectly located, reasonably priced family home perfect for a peaceful family break."

We had a fantastic holiday experience at the white house. Very easy to find with the pin point directions provided. A very warm welcome on arrival and a great brief on the property and local amenities. The house is well equipped, the bedrooms are very well decorated and comfortable, the garden was a great space for the family to enjoy the Devon sunshine. And of course the essential internet access for the teens is available. Very handy for local shops and the beach is only five mins by car. We couldn't have picked a more perfect property for our stay and we will most definitely be staying again. Highly recommend the White House.

"Lovely owner, Lovely House, would definately stay again!"

First off i would like to say a big thank you to Lisa the owner for being so accommodating throughout the whole experience. The house was everthing we had hoped it would be and the welcome pack that we found upon our arrival was just what the doctor ordered after a 5hour journey as it included a bottle of red and white wine! Although there was only the 3 of us, the house could have slept upto 7! There was plenty of space and our 2 and a half year old daughter loved being able to run about inside and especially outside in the fairly large enclosed garden. In the metal shed in the garden we found loads to keep us entertained from tennis raquets, rugby ball, a skateboard plus various other sporting & games equipment. Although we didn't actually get to use it, there was even a nice and clean BBQ which would definately have come in handy had we been staying longer. Location was great as it was no more than 1.5miles to the sandy beach at Exmouth. If i had to be critical about anything, and for the price we paid i feel awful writing anything negative, there was a leaky tap in the bathroom which seemed almost impossible to turn off and the garden wall could have done with a lick of paint as it looked a little tired but apart from that, this was a lovely house which practically ticked every box. Would we stay here again; without hesitation! Thanks again Lisa and we hope we get to stay again at some point in the future. Peter Paula & Annabelle.

Peter, Paul & Annabelle. Many thanks for your comments. The leaky tap has now been fixed, it was a bit of a pain but fingers crossed the problem has now been resolved. As for the garden, we are aware of the paintwork needed however have been fully booked with rentals over the summer period so decided to wait until the quieter period to give it a lick of paint, I've also ordered some interesting plants to try and add a bit more character to the garden. "This is perfectly located accommodation"

Lisa has to be the friendliest and most helpful owner we have ever met. The house was ideal for our needs, very clean and comfortable with all that we needed, together with a wonderfully thoughtful welcome pack. The house was all the better for Lisa having allowed us to rent it for just 2 nights so that we could attend our son's King's Squad Pass-Out event. What was a very special occasion for us was enhanced by Lia's genuine interest and reassuring guidance when we booked the stay at short notice.
