Holiday accommodation set within the Old Post Office situated right on the village green in the heart of the beautiful Exmoor National Park in the beautiful village of Exford with two excellent country Inns/restaurants and a tea rooms just a short walk along the road.

Our village shop has now reopened after a major renovation and will be stocking all your immediate daily needs, including groceries, bread, milk, newspapers, postcards, etc. and a great range of small gifts. They are open from 7.30am to 6pm Mon - Sat and 9.00am - 12.30 Sun.

(Please note that we are very happy to put together a basket of provisions for you which will be here ready for your arrival – Let us know in advance and I will arrange this.)

The accommodation comprises of:

Living Space with a light and spacious living room with a two-seater leather sofa and a coffee table.

The kitchen area has a table with two chairs, a sink, a small microwave/oven combination, air fryer, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, cafetière, and all normal kitchen utensils.

Bedroom with a king-size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables and lamps.

Shower room with sink, WC, and cupboards.

Large plasma TV with Freeview and a Roku system to access Netflix for films along with a DVD player. Assorted board games and playing cards

Both a folding travel cot and baby bath are available if required

A dog blanket, towel, and bowl are provided if required

Parking is normally available right outside the property, however, there is a large free public car park about 300 yards away

One well behaved dog is welcome with a charge of £10.00, but we request they are not allowed on the furniture.

We do not offer a cooked breakfast and normally we can offer a continental breakfast in the room at an additional cost of £5.00 per person, however, as a precaution during the Corvid 19 we have suspended this. A cooked breakfast is available at the Exford Bridge Tea Rooms just across the village green from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm or at either of the village pubs.

Interaction with guest

We live here on the premises so should always be around to meet you, hand over the keys and show you around the apartment. However, there is a coded key safe outside the front door to allow non-contact entry We will happily advise about the local area and be more than happy to recommend walks, restaurants, pubs, etc. to make your stay a pleasant one. We like to be on-hand whenever needed but we will respect your privacy at all times.

We are happy to take a small child up to about 2 years old and we can supply a folding cot and a folding bath if required.

Why can't I call Gerry (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Gerry (the owner) a message.

If Gerry (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
