The Exmoor National Park region
The Exmoor National Park is a unique English holiday destination. Throughout the year it provides excellent opportunities to enjoy the unspoilt countryside. It is particularly suited to walkers, ramblers and riders (whether riding horses, cycles or motor bikes) who can enjoy the rural environment. and the exquisite views. There are 700 miles of paths and bridleways over rugged moorland or alongside babbling brooks. Many of our guests have brought dogs which have revelled in the freedom which the wide open space provides.
Exford is at the heart of the Exmoor National Park. From here you can walk up to the moor or alongside the River Exe. In the autumn you can enjoy watching and listening to the 'roaring' of the Red Deer stags during the rutting season (October), in the spring you can observe the new-born lambs gambolling in the fields and the young foals of the wild Exmoor ponies and, in the summer, you can picnic in the heather on the moor or wander further afield to the beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton Sands. For those who get easily bored, you can participate in many alternative attractions that are available in the National Park. .

"On arrival we were delighted to find that everything was spotlessly clean and the whole cottage extremely well equipped,"
Excellent venue in the heart of beautiful Exmoor with easy access to all the beauty spots. Exford is a delightful little village with friendly shop owners including a well resourced convenience store and Post Office. There are two excellent hotels for formal dining out or evening drinks and a lovely tea room offering freshly cooked breakfasts, lunches and afternoon tea, for any who don't wish to self cater all the time. The price was really a bargain considering the very high quality of the accommodation; two good sized bedrooms, well equipped and roomy kitchen/ dining room, separate living room, all beautifully decorated and two bathrooms. Also all bed linen and towels provided and tea etc. and yummy home made cake on arrival. There is a comprehensive supply of information and maps re places to visit and local walks.

"Comfy, cosy, quality"
This is a home you stay in rather than a house you rent out. It has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable break away. Great location, village has a well stocked shop and 2 pubs. Very central for all that Exmoor has to offer.
