The Loft Apartment is part of a large Georgian Manor House close to the City Centre. The apartment is on the first floor, rather magically overlooking the rooftops of Exeter to the nearby Woodbury Common.

The lounge & kitchen has 3 windows facing South West catching the beautiful evening sun.

The lounge has a two seater settee & arm chair, folding dinning table, with 3 stools - large flat screen wall mounted flat screen tv with DVD player. It has a good sized DVD and book collection, many focusing on the locality. It's a lovely room with loads of space & light, the aspect is West, catching the evening sun.

The bedroom is fitted with a King size double bed, & Sumptuous mattress, the aspect is East, so it catches the morning sun.

BT Infinity unlimited Internet access by WIFI

We have a large private drive, recently resurfaced, shared by a block of retirement flats, it's so quiet. The car park is set in the old orchard, with ample

The apartment is on the first floor, up a long flight of Victorian cast iron external stairs. Modern bathroom with a large shower, fitted with rain head & normal side shower

- 10 mins walk from the town center- 1 mins walk to Waitrose - 1 min walk to the Peninsula Medical School & Exeter University St Luke's Campus. The apartment shares a large grassed garden, which at one time would have been the impressive Kitchen gardens with it's high sun catching Georgian brick walls which radiate the sun's heat back to you in the evening. There is a great amount of privacy in this garden. We are pet lovers & enjoy taking our Red Setter 'Willow' with us on holiday & she in turn loves playing with our two kittens. The Loft with it's large garden is a great apartment for pets, do bring yours.

We give 10% discount for stays of 1 week or more & 20% discount for stays of 4 weeks or more, as indicated in our weekly & monthly price.

The England region

Exeter is dominated, by it's beautiful gothic cathedral & it's historic port. Many Roman remains can be found in the city, underground passages, castle, built in 1068 & Victorian Royal Albert Museum. It boasts the first customs house, oldest pound-lock canal in England & so much more.

It's also the gateway to Dartmoor & Exmoor National Parks, the gentle South Devon coast & the rugged North Devon Atlantic Coast, with its crashing waves & high cliffs. It has one of the best off-road flat cycle paths you could ask for, following both sides of the Exe estuary, going through picturesque villages: Topsham & Lympstone, wonderfully remote pubs, crossing by ferry to return on the other side.

Exeter

We are on the boundary of St Leonards & Heavitree, 1.3k from the high street.

St Leonards has a wonderful array of independent retailers & retains it's village atmosphere. Heavitree has a much more modern & practical array of shops.

We are on the Heavitree rd, which is a busy road into Exeter, but up 150m heavily wooded private drive, you will feel you are in the countryside, not in the city.

“Not what I have expected”

I have been on holiday with my mum and have spent there 5 nights. Entrance to apartment is very bad. Very old, metal heavy stairs which lead from outside to the apartment. It was very uncomfortable if you carry suitcases or with children is very unsafe. Appartment was clean and looked ok, however there were missing basic things.Like spoons for soup, wooden spoons not microwave. No toiletries. Only until I called him he brought the stuff however it was very late by the time. Other things to point out: electricity especially lights very weak so reading books not recommended. Heating supposed to be as per our request from 6pm till midnight. However he did set up timer to be switched off at 6pm!!! Very disappointed luckily it wasn't very cold outside. I don't recommend this apartment to anyone and I will never come back.

The apartment is called the Loft apartment for a reason. Yes entrance is through an old wrought iron Georgian staircase, it's a Georgian house! The apartment description clearly describes where it is. It's a little oasis in the middle of the city. Tucked away in an old walled garden. Their is ample cooking facilities. Your mother wanted to cook a big traditional dish. Lovely & so we provided a 1 gallon cooking pot & utensils as you wished. Not a normal request for a 2 bed apartment. The heating is adjusted to whatever you want, with clear instructions. You can have it on 24/7 or set the time to whatever you want. The previous tenants had the timer set to be on between 6-11pm & 7-9am. The kitchen has a set of 8 halogen ceiling mounted spot lights. The lounge has a central 100 watt light & the bedroom has two dimmable reading lights & a central light.
