The England region

Devons climate has cool wet winters, and warm changeable summers. We cater for all eventualities, so whilst visiting the South West its worth making the 24 mile trip to Dartmoor or Exmoor, walking the Tors, rock climbing and hiking. Cream Tea at Widdicombe in the Moor. The children will love the River Dart Country Park or just playing / picnicking in the vast open spaces.Beaches are never far away, 11 miles to Dawlish Warren, 9 miles to Exmouth with cycle routes to both.

Exeter

Exeter is an up and coming City, with a population of approx 119600. It has increased in popularity with the new shopping centre in Princesshay and the weekly farmers market. The Car boot sale on Sunday mornings at Exeter cattle market is very popular whilst Rougemont gardens often hold the vintage fair throughout the year. The Devon County Show is always a lovely day out for everyone.
If you are into music then Aeon Festival is a must go, held in Credition during August. Other music venues in town include The Lemongrove, Mama Stones and The Phoenix catering for all tastes.

“the most amazing place we have ever stayed at.”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2017

What a wonderful house and what a lovely lady Kathy is. We felt at home from the moment we arrived, the cake and Easter egg left for us were lovely touches, along with all the essentials i.e milk and butter. The house as far as we could tell had everything you could possibly need and was very well cared for, we could honestly fault nothing and would highly recommend it to other people. We stayed for our nieces wedding and had an amazing time. We look forward to being able to stay there again in the future.

Owner's reply: A sincere thank you for this great review. So pleased you enjoyed your stay and I hope to see you again in the future. Enjoy this bank holiday weekend

“Fantastic family holiday home”

Reviewed 10 Aug 2016

I travelled with four teens, my dad and a dog. The house was perfect for all of us - loads of space, cleverly configured, superb deck area for sunny breakfasts and watching the sunsets. Kathys hospitality was exemplary and unobtrusive. Wonderful welcome of scones, brownies and all the groceries we needed. Location was excellent - close to town, Dartmoor, all the major roads. We all had a really great holiday ( even the teenagers!) and will certainly be back!

“"book it"”

Lovely home from home but cleaner ! One of the best holiday homes we have stayed in and we have stayed in quite a few. Kathy is a lovely lady, nothing was too much trouble and we didn't know she was there unless we needed her. Great location easy walk into Exeter with lots to do and short drive to the coast. We'll be back.

“what a way to get together at Christmas - home from home”

Reviewed 18 Jan 2016

TreeTops provided a welcoming comfortable family home for us at Christmas - it was tastefully decorated and many extras were added- a bottle, shortbread, chocolates, the best mince pies ever, even a gingerbread house, as well as many basics for the store cupboard including a delicious loaf, eggs and biscuits. Slippers awaited visitors as they arrived too! We opened our presents in the spacious lounge, but we spent most of our time in the large kitchen diner with its comfy furniture, and large telly where we had great fun with our favourite family games. There were lots of books, and games available. The bedrooms were excellent catering well for doubles and singles. I loved the view all over Exeter from mine... Kathy, the owner, was a bright, friendly lady who helped in every possible way. There was an excellent decking area with a large round table and a garden which would be ideal for a summer stay. The bathroom and shower room and downstairs cloakroom were also well stocked with toiletries and anything you may have forgotten. There was good car parking with the city and walks close at hand.

“excellent”

I stayed at tree tops over night. I found it very clean and welcoming. It was comfortable and Kathy went out of her way to make me feel at home. Would recommend staying here and its close to central Exeter and the train station.

“Excellent accomdation, Really is a home from home”

Reviewed 30 Jun 2015

We had a two week stay at Tree tops and this was a very enjoyable stay too. Upon arrival the accommodation was found to be extremely clean and well presented with a delicious welcome cake (this went down a treat) This house has everything to offer as a home from home, with things ranging from books, DVDs to board games and even a games console for young children and teenagers, the genre of DVDs/Books caters for all ages too.. two separate TV rooms are here one in the lounge and one in the kitchen/diner. The kitchen is lovely and spacious with all the mod cons, it also has patio doors leading out to a lovely sun trapped balcony, with a great view to spend time relaxing...Even comes complete with a BBQ. Kathy who owns the House is lovely and very welcoming and on hand for any queries or questions you may have, although every care has been taken to provide you with things you may need to know i.e bus time tables, event planners, things to do in and around the area and any local numbers you may need. This house is located in a good area, with shops very near by for all your needs, including a good range of take away`s. Upstairs The two double bedrooms are a good size with ample storage space and the two single rooms are cosy with great views to wake up to. There is also a bathroom with a toilet and bath and a seperate shower room, these are all complete with all the toiletries you may need in case you haven't got your own. Everything is thought of for your stay and needs in this lovely holiday home. We had a great stay here and would definitely stay again.

“Exceptional”

Reviewed 31 May 2015

Kathy's place is simply magical. It had everything we could possibly need and was totally immaculate. The homemade goodies were delicious and made us feel so welcome. I would go back in a heartbeat!

“More than Excellent!”

Reviewed 7 Apr 2015

We stayed there for 2 nights with our family members. The owner, Kathy, is really friendly and helpful. She has placed everything for your daily use (slippers, medicine, retractable pet leash etc.). All the kitchenwares are modern and even have a tumble dryer! She even put the welcome carrot cake, which was amazing and delicious. Overall, my family were so happy to be there and we surely recommend this holiday home to everyone who is going for holidays to Exceter or near Exceter area.

“Perfect Accommodation”

Reviewed 31 Mar 2015

A wonderful and very well equipped home from home, perfect for a group of professionals working near by. The owner, Kathy, was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

“Everything thought of.”

Reviewed 18 Feb 2015

We are group of mates who were visiting the Exeter area and don't need very much, but it has to be said that the owner Kathy had thought of everything and we had a very enjoyable stay. The house is very comfortable and the cake that was left for us was delicious. I would recommend this house to any group of people visiting the area.
