Getting around

Loads to see and do within easy walking distance, but also on the local bus route if you want to go farther afield. Gibraltar, Marbella and Malaga are all within 1 hour on the direct bus services. If you have a car then Casares, Ronda, Gaucin and Cadiz are well worth a trip. Also, why not try a trip to the Atlantic coast, we would definitely recommend a trip to Tarifa, Bolonia or Zahara de los Atunes for gorgeous golden sands and more waves than you get in Estepona.

“Go in December”

After a lovely autumn in England we went to Estepona on the 25th of November for three weeks. we had no idea how fantastic the weather would be at this time of year and it was lovely to be outside The madness of the main tourist season. most of the restaurants are still open at this stage and we couldn't believe that we spent our afternoons sunbathing on the sunny deck which was such a bonus. andy had been very accommodating with us as we had messed him about a bit with our booking and he was very understanding. we really enjoyed the walk along the promenade every day into Estepona for coffees and came back feeling really healthy and fit. while we were away the weather in England turn really cold and we were so glad to be away in the sunshine. we didn't hire a car it wasn't necessary. we took the bus into Marbella Old Town definitely worth a visit and the bus and train up to Ronda for one overnight stay. Also took and a trip to casares. can't recommend the location of the apartment strongly enough and yes do not disregard the winter months. fabulous

“Excellent location & appartment”

From the moment we arrived and met Andy we relaxed ready for our Estepona holidays. The appartment is fantastically located wit everything in walking distance so no car required. The appartment is clean, large and the terrace pool and ocean view is bliss. Everything is lovely and I highly recommend booking. We are a family of four and our girls thoroughly loved their twin bedroom and the large sofa and of course the terrace and pool. the resurrects in the port are very good, we ate in thapa Thai, Mumbai Massala and La escorella along with Another I forget the name of but was huge portions. The wine is incredible value in all the restaurants as is the beers/ Cana. And go to the port to Reinaldo's in happy hour for Gins at 4 Euro and huge! 8-10 on fri-sat-sun We took a taxi to the port as we walked the day before but the heat took it out of us so this time we were fresh and was 5euro so worth it on a hot day. We had a 3 course lunch at casa Dona jeronima for 15euro at under orange trees and a bottle of wine house 12euro wine & was bliss and then in evening We had a lovely cheeseboard in Siopa. “Great place to stay”

We have recently spent 3 most enjoyable weeks in this apartment and would like to reiterate all the sentiments of the previous holidaymakers. The apartment is spacious, well maintained and the kitchen has everything you need. It is situated not far from the Estepona Golf Club if you intend playing golf on holiday. If we visit Estepona in the future, we would like to say here again.

Kommunikation mit Andy war ausgezeichnet, obwohl wir kein Englisch sprechen. Google mat es möglich. Die Wohnung unter dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat die beste Note verdient. Die Freundlichkeit bei der Aufnahme inkl. Lunchpacket und Sekt war sehr nett und bleibt lange in Erinnerung. Die große Terrasse mit Sicht aufs Meer hat dafür gesorgt, dass wir die Wohnung lediglich für das Schlafen nutzten :). Wir haben Den Kontakt und die Wohnung schon weiterempfohlen. “Fabulous Apartment”

Just had a wonderful 10 days at this wonderful well equipped apartment. We we're made to feel very welcome. Arrival and departure went very smoothly Everything thing we needed was there. We made the most of the terrace and self catering facilities, although we ate out a few times Including Thapa Thai in the marina. Taverna Miguel in the old town , Havana beach bar at Christo beach and some Chiringuitos on the beaches. Drinks were enjoyed at Healy Macs and Jazz Bar. We felt Estepona is one of the most beautiful Spanish towns we've visited and spent many a hour walking the long promenade. We will definitely return one day and would recommend staying at this lovely apartment.

“fabulous apartment with great terrace & views”

Enjoyed a lovely week and this fabulous apartment. We were met on arrival by Andy & Beatta and shown around and given good information about the area and places to go. The fridge and cupboard were stocked with necessities including bread, milk, eggs, teas and coffee. We were also left a bottle of wine, which we enjoyed on our first evening on the beautiful terrace. The view from there is just gorgeous. The apartment and terrace are well equipped with everything you need for a week or two in the sun. The communal pool, is down a level from the apartment, and can be viewed from the terrace. We decided not to hire a car, and because of the location of the apartment it was not needed. We got the direct Airport bus from Malaga to Estepona. During our stay we caught the bus from nearby to Marbella (Puerto Banus) and in the other direction La Linea (for Gibraltar). There are shuttle buses to take you to the main bus station - which is now located a good bit out of the town, however a taxi from the taxi rank is also good value. A visit to the Old town is a must, an easy 10 minute walk, or 15 minute stroll. There are many lovely places to eat around the Marina and the bonus of having access to Cristo beach from the back gate of the Marina Bay apartments was brilliant. All in all a wonderful trip, and we are already considering going back to stay in the same apartment.

“Great location for a relaxing break”

From enquiry to booking, arrival to departure Andy was professional, efficient and very helpful. Andy provided a wealth of information about the apartment and Estepona before we arrived which made it all the simpler to start relaxing from the get go. The journey from Malaga to Estepona is direct - the A7/E15 takes you all the way to Avenida del Carmen and from there it's a 5 minute drive to the apartments. Sue met us outside at exactly the time she said and within ten minutes we were inside and unpacking. We stayed in apartment B32 which has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, lounge/diner and large terrace. The apartment was left very clean and the welcome pack and offer to use anything in the kitchen was very nice. The terrace is sunsoaked all day and the view of the Med is fantastic. The outside furniture is comfy as is the sofa inside when it gets too hot. The air con works very well. Cristo beach is reached via the rear exit of the apartment complex and we could be on a beach lounger within 5 mins of leaving the apartment! The beach bar/restaurant (Havana Beach) does excellent food and of course, cold drinks. The sunloungers/parasols are 5 euro per day each. We ate out most lunch times and evenings either at the beach or the Marina. We liked Halamon Bar for simple tapas. We liked El Cazador although the portions were very big and the menu a little limited. De La Mar above the Marina is a nice relaxing Dutch/English bar with good value tasty food. Le Briconnet del Puerto was nice too - right next to the water. We ate in at the apartment a couple of times, first shopping at the massive Carrefour in east Estepona but after we found the SuperSol supermarket a few minutes walk across the road we didn't bother with anywhere else. Great little supermarket at good prices so not worth the trip through town. We didn't venture far from the beach and Marina. We went to the Wednesday and Sunday market - fine for a stroll around. We walked into Estepona town a few times - a very nice clean and friendly place. By car we went to Gibraltar which took under an hour and Puerto Banus, 20 minutes in the other direction. This trip sealed the deal. We've been to Spain many times over the years and this time decided that we will put down more permanent roots there. We'll be planning a fact finding trip in the winter and looking to invest sometime in 2017!

“Fantastic apartment, had a great time.”

We were met by Sue at the Marina Bay apartments who showed us around & made sure we were settled in ok. The apartment was ideal for us, very clean & well equipped. The welcome pack that Andy supplied (included in the price) was most welcome. We were also sent an extensive information pack on local restaurants, Estepona & surrounding area during the easy booking process, it came in very handy indeed. The apartment is close to Estepona marina with its good assortment of places to eat & drink, never had a bad meal during our stay. The huge terrace was used every day to sunbathe & relax with a couple of Cuba Libres. We had a great time at the Marina Bay apartments and would certainly recommend them not only to friends & family but to anyone looking for excellent holiday accommodation in a great location. This apartment gives all that was mentioned on the website. Spacious, clean, Well furnished with a stunning terrace. 5 minutes walk from the restaurants and shops. The secure underground parking is very pleasant . The owner gives all the information you need about restaurants, shops etc. Even trips in the neighbourhood. We go back next year and highly recommand this apartment to both elder people and a family with children. The welcome pack is great. It was a warm welcome with also a bottle of wine waiting for us on the table .

“Couldn't ask for more”

An ideal holiday venue. For relaxing there is the beautiful Cristo beach which is only a stone's throw away and has well kept toilet and shower facilities and a great bar/restaurant. It is ideal for young children as the water stays calm in the bay and does not get deep quickly. The town is also quite interesting and not your typical hotel resort, and there are loads of interesting places to visit nearby. The apartment is lovely - spacious, well equipped, clean and homely, with great views from the veranda. The overall complex is peaceful and welcoming. The pool is a decent size and deep enough for diving one end, whilst also safe for children. There is a decent supermarket only down the road and also a tourist information office, which was a useful source of information. Highly recommended
